Thanks boys for the imfo, i think the first one i shoot i wont mind three hours of messing around to get it to the table but i think it could wear a bit thin after a while. I dont really mind changing guns as i can use it for the deer aswell and we only have fallow so it makes sense , what i want is to keep my ticket open and to be able to use on foxes when i want as my other fox rifle is a .17 rem and no good in the winter or the welsh mountains far to windy......

Hi i have the firearms officer coming tomorrow as i have put in to change my .243 for a 308 and have boar added to my ticket, i have handed in the written permission and some pics of the damage. What i need is, has anyone got this on theirs already that can fill me in with any doe`s and dont`s with boar shooting many thanks Eddie....................

Hi ive had a .17 rem for nearly two years an have shot over a hundred foxes and alot of long range bunnys,they are great but they run out of steam after about 200 yards on a body shot. hornady have just started doing a 25 grain v max which will help and there is a 25 grain hollow point, i have a rem 700 bdl with a thin barrel and a t4 does the trick.......... eddie
