Its good that we have mates that can help us out with things we havent got around us, the gentleman that took me out loves to shoot long range bunnys and we have loads of them for him and his palmtop to play with, good swap if you ask me.....

Nobody loves the breed more than me but i have to say ive never thought the breed made good pet dogs in a family situation.....of course there are exceptions to this but on the average,90 per cent of dog breeds make a far superior family pet....but as always...everything must bow to fashion,even saftey and common sense I believe that if the dog is a family pet it should stay a family pet, if your dog does any work at all it should not be a part time pet thats when you get into trouble....IMHO...

Thanks dawn he was a real companion, he was brought up with a 10 lb jack russel with which he slept down stairs and they were left alone in the house and were like brother and sister. It was strange to see them play fight Although my son werent to sure sometimes

I have in the past had them and mine hated dogs that were his size or larger for some reason but he was great with my family and old ladys at the boot sales my mrs used to make us attend on sundays. BUT and this is a big but i would not leave him alone with people he didnt know , maybe im just responsable because i know there was little i could do to stop him if he had taken a dislike to someone he`d been left with. The point im trying to make is, the dogs were bred to fight dogs but can quite easily be made to dislike people but that aint down to the dog

I see what your saying dawn but why is it that other breeds such as rotties, GSD, dobermans and the like are not banned when they kill or maime. Is it like i said that there are more of them to deal with or because they are regestered with the kennel club..

I remember the one in germany and that was two pit bulls killed the lad on a school feild, what i was trying to get at is im sure there was a case a while back about a child being killed by a rottie in a pub beer garden how many have a breed got to kill before they are deemed DANGEROUS.................
