Please elaborate on "more of other game" and why Jagds are better. :shout: Another can of worms methink! Ya I was afraid a statement like that on here might stick a few nerves. I hunt a lot of tree game and run jagds with my hounds. They need to have a good nose and be open on track and have a ton of gritt and drive. I'm not saying that a russel or pat won't work for me but I have jagds and I like them, not going to switch just so I can hunt ONE of the many game better and chance suffering on other game. I would like to do more digging and am just trying to figure out how its done. I

Okay I guess its a bad idea. The only time I had two dogs digging they where after a squirral. The only reason I would want them to back out is to drag the fox out saveing me digging. But I,m new to the whole digging game. I have jagds because I hunt more of other game that russels or pats wouldn't do for, at least like I would want. Thanks for the advice guys, I take it as doctorine.

I was wondering how many people on here use more than one dog at a dig site. I have noticed that when I have more than one the first keeps digging in and the second pulls dirt back out and cleans the tunnel. When I have only one dog it keeps digging and all the dirt gets left in the tunnel and then when the dog wants to come out it has to dig back out. I'm scared to hunt one dog now cause I don't wan it getting stuck. There is no way they would ever be able to pull something out of a hole cause they can't dig in reverse, unles the original hole was allready big enough for them. But I hunt jagd

Just got one question. If you use terriers with your ferrets, how do you keep your terriers from doing what terriers do to your ferrets? Good luck with the cross.

where could I find a locator in the US? And what kind should I get? I've never seen or heard of them, not many terriermen where I'm from. Thanks for the info, Sheldon

thats great info, Thanks. Most of the dens around here are dug into hillsides. Any info for this. Digging down to most of these would require 10 + feet. Would it be best to tunnel down the shaft?

I was wondering how you locate where to dig down to your dog without the use of an electronic locator, if there is a way?

I'm interested in hearing some stories and seeing pics of holeing foxxes. Where I live there is more foxxes than anything and would like to know about it.
