  9. hi mate i would imagine crows and magpies would go mad for the fox, especially if you prop it up near where they are nesting, if you try it let us now how you get on, been thinking of doing it myself, atb
  10. good fun if you get it right, need to be a good shot:thumbs:, only thing is hitting them through the stubble, nice to see them just slouch with wings spread when you hit them in the noggin:clapper:, handy to have a shotgun as back up in case they come in thick and fast , which is not very often:no:
  11. Hi all, just curious really, my beddy cross is looking a bit tatty, the coat has got guard hairs but do they need stripping like my border terriers?
  12. he's getting rid because he's probably no good, nobody gets rid of a 12 month old dog thats got potential, another lurcher going from home to home no doubt
  13. rabbits are a pest, they need controlling if i said to the farmer i'm stopping hunting because they are breeding and having cute little baby rabbits he would think i was mad, don't be so soft where i am rabbits breed all year anyway, obviously hares only have a few leverets a year which are lucky to survive anyway so they are off the menu, it's just common sense
  14. went to see the doctor today, he said everything is fine and told me to re apply in a few weeks, which was a bit of a suprise, my doctors report is now updated so fingers crossed
  15. just use a bit of rope, always have the dog on slip, you can pick the runs you think are sensible, ( closest rabbits) atb
  16. not sure on this one, usually feed it once a week, i would of thought it contains to much starch and gluten, my dogs prefer rice tbh, atb slipper
  17. cheers lads, which window wiper motor would be the best? they vary in size quite a bit
  18. went shooting last week, all going well untill the magnet packed in, the main rod in the middle had sheered right off the motor, took it apart when i got home and saw it's only 6mm bar, bit of a shit design really only used it three times it's a expensive model too, anyway has anybody else had a problem? thought about making my own, any ideas folks?
  19. i would'nt let the 90 go mate, not for a lightning
  20. I,ve got to see my GP, can't see him untill next week, after that it will be the diabetic consultant, then it will be a call to my fao to explain everything is ok and he can check with my doctor, as i've said before i,ve been fine for years, I did have a few incidents but that was a while ago, it's always been well controlled, i'm a plumber by trade so if I lost my driving license it would be game over, thats why i've had to keep such a close eye on it, thanks for replies, i'll keep you posted, atb slipper
  21. thanks for the replies folks, going to give them a call i think
  22. I recently applied for my shotgun certificate, after six weeks had a letter back with my cheque and photos, gutted to be honest as i've got a clean record and i'm fit as a fiddle plus i've got twenty years shooting experience! Not much compared to some I know, but I know what i'm doing, ( my gun has been on my dads certificate) anyway he said because of my doctors report he was'nt satisfied, it said on the report I had incidents of low blood sugar but that was over two years ago! My GP being a bunny hugger does'nt help but has anybody else with diabetes had any bother getting a certificate?
