  1. I have checked the velocity which is 3382 fps gives me 1" high at 100 and only 0.3" low at 200, and 5.8 low at 300, very happy with that, I was getting 3800 with my old powder which was accurate 2460, but cant get it so this is a recipe with viht 133
  2. Yeah you're right just being lazy lol its just that I'm not a member at a range and the cover is up on most of my land, silage will be cut this week and ill have a afternoon testing
  3. Tried some homeloads just now checked zero at 50 yards and had 3 shot groups all touching clover leaf, am I right in thinking it will be high slightly at 100 and back in zero again at 250? Using 40 grain vmax
  4. Good prices but the gunshops around here charge what they want lol
  5. Cheers alan, going to try a box tomorrow, see what they group like in my cz, not sure how much yet dan think they are about 25 to 30 quid a box, normal 40 vmax were 18 quid last time I bought some, normally reload but waiting on powder so going to use factory ammo for a bit
  6. Can someone please explain to me how to avoid parralax error. I have put a hawke varmint 6 x 24 x 44 sf on my 223, im going out tomorrow to zero. Will point of impact change if I alter parralax? And if I saw a fox say at 180 but the side parralax was set a 200 would I miss the target, thanks in advance but I am used to fix mag scopes
  7. Anyone tried the new hornady Superformance?
  8. I have a benjamin as392, in fair condition but has a leak somewhere it would make a tune up project if anyone is interested, I dont know what its worth tbh so open to offers can send pictures cheers
  9. Is this still for sale and how much?
  10. Ok I will do that back in a minute
  11. Shoot rabbits all the time with mine its good long range practice and cheap enough to shoot rabbits crows and magpies etc and if you head shoot them you can eat them, game dealer still buys them off me when head shot with the 223
  12. Like I said I took the bone off her to give her a fresh one I never interfere when she is eating thanks for info peeps
  13. I am thinking of the same, a nightvision setup, think I am going to get the hornet as I enjoy reloading and the nifty little round just appeals to me, light, quiet and plenty of wack for ginger nuts
  14. Thanks skycat I will take that on board, and see how it goes, hopefully it won't happen again she is very intelligent and learns very quickly, thanks again
  15. Forgot to ask did I do wrong? I don't want to break the bond but I can't let her get away with biting surely?
  16. Another one for you, I, ve just taken a bone off my spaniel bitch who is 9 months old, I have been building a bond between us which is important everything is going great but she just went to bite shown her teeth etc. Took the bone off her as I was going to give her a fresh one. I scruffed her then shouted no, I am really surprised she has never done anything aggressive before
  17. That was interesting mate, looking at the reloading side of things, the case of the 22 hornet looks quite thin, are cases easy to come by because it doesn't look like you can reload them more than a few times
  18. I had the same problem deciding which to go for 222 or 223 went for the 223 in the end, took me a while to decide though
  19. Is there a lot of difference between the 22k hornet and the standard 22 hornet? Is the reloading gear the same etc
  20. I have been thinking about the 22hornet for a while now Charlie caller, I would like to get one as a nightvision cf setup, its just finding a legitimate reason to have one as I have a 223, will the fao let me have one?
  21. Thanks for all the replies and yes mate I think I know what you mean but whats stops the flat band from pulling out from under the tube
  22. Thanks mate ill have a look on the bay now
