    I use the nightmaster 800 does me fine, had it two years now no problems batteries last all night nice and lightweight

    Its only a 22 mate did the bizo though I was out shooting rabbits so only had the 22lr with me and thought I would try callit it in funny how some play ball was only a cub though I suppose

    Never mind, I had one last night a big cub shot it with the 22 called it right up to the side of the 4x4 head shot at 15 yards!

    Just a good fuss everytime never had any problems we have a good bond I think, also I don't think I have been over doing it as I mix it up a bit some nights I will just take her out for a mooch other night it will be retrieving but only for half an hour an then have a play or walk, don't want to rush anything, what do you think I should do just knock the retreiving on the head for a few weeks?

    Right folks bit of a weird one, my ess is 12 months old now and just had her first season which finished two weeks ago, all has been going well I have been taking her out and practicing retrieves and the other basics, she has been doing really well finding blind retrieves out to 60 yards so I was happy I am getting somewhere, then It sstarted to go wrong, for two nights a week my wife works and so I look after the kids so I can't get out with the dog, anyway for the last couple of nights I tried a few retrieves Iin the garden but she is completely ignoring them, she will sit at heel and wh

    Like I said mate I'm in no rush my spaniel is a year old now so will be shooting with her next season, but will be looking for a running dog to work with her aswell, if I buy a pup it wont be starting untill next winter aswell so all good, and yeah I know mate beddy whippets are only about 20 tts lol, I used to have one which in tge the dogs defence I was young and stupid and probably ruined it but itwas still very head strong, I know there not all the same but Iit put me off them, and I have seen a few that yap

    Also I have at the minute a ess bitch which I am slowly training and hopefully be ready for next winter so would it be wise to get a lurcher bitch that she can share a kennel with?

    I really can't make my mind up, I am looking for a all rounder, bit of a pot filler, day time moocher, lamper, probably need something about 25inchish? I know there are millions of opinions and everyone's requirements are different but can anyone recommend a litter coming up? I am in no rush at all, don't want a yappy beddy whippet though? Lol

    40 grain vmax tips, saved all my empty factory cases which I cleaned and reused got a tub of viht 133, some remington primers, and got the hornady reloading manual I wanted to copy the factory ammo because it was really accurate, I tried hornady vmax 40 50 and 55 grain 40 were the best by far. I couldn't find out what powder is in the factory ammo so used the recommended powder, anyhow all is going good initial outlay is a little bit but if you love shooting long range crows magpies rabbits etc like me but if you are only going to go foxing and maybe shoot a couple of foxes a week just buy

    40 grain vmax to get you going and zeroed, you can then practice and fettle with homeloads, forgot to ask if you have made ammo before? Don't want to tell you how to suck eggs, but that's what I did, found the ammo my 527 liked which is hornady, but did try remington privi and Winchester, then I had a rifle I could go foxing with, whilst it was zeroed with that I started making my own which took a while but got it spot on in the end with advice from a few chaps off here including Charlie caller

    I get 1.40 each which is ok, I took 56 in this morning, cash will be waiting next time I take some more, pays for my diesel etc

    Forget them homeloads I wouldn't shoot them unless I new the bloke or made them myself anyway, get some hornady 40 grain vmax and see how they go, brilliant in my 527 sub moa at 100 yards
