Sorry if this has already been covered, I started the same topic last week, but my jill is getting worse. She started off loosing hair below her neck, and I put this down to the other jill dominating her. Her hair has now gone thin everywhere but she is nearly balled on her tail. Could this be just the time of year or could it be more serious, she seems ok in herself and is eating and drinking ok. If is was some sort of mite on her skin I would have thought the other jill would have the same problem (or is my thinking wrong). I think I just need a bit of reassurence if this is

hi TL i have replied to your PM you should only fill to 190bar on the AAS410,yes there is some one who can put a regulator in it .he done one for me not so long ago http://www.amcustomgunsmiths.com/ ask for Adi let him know your problem and he will sort it out,at very reasonable prices also mention this site! regards davy I have just phoned this guy to see about a regulator for my 510. He said although he fit one for Dave, its not something he would do for anyone else. He just happened to have one in stock off another gun at the time he fit one for Dave and said the

One of my jills is loosing hair just below her neck, she is a polecat and the skin was a pinky colour where she had lost the fur, over the last couple of days its not got any worse but I am worried it could be something serious. She is kept with another polecat jill and she is fine, I was wondering if I should seperate them, but I dont really want to put them by themselves. I was going to leave it another couple of days and see if it gets better and then take her to the vets if it doesn't, It could just be where they have been playing with each other, what do you guys/girls think.

I would have 30 of them for £25

I have just done half my shed out into a large ferret cage. I have one jill and 3 kits in there at the moment, 2 of the kits will be going this weekend to a new home, so that will leave a kit (8 weeks old) and its mother. I also have another jill thats in season in another hutch, The question is when will it be ok to put this jill in with the mother and kit without any harm being done to the mother or kit. The plan is to have them all together eventually including a snipped hob that has another 3 weeks to go until he is firing blanks.

I got a jill with 3 kits off somebody on here a few weeks ago in cumbria, I live in middlesbrough. It was an hour and a half trip back with the kits and everything was fine. The kits were 3 weeks old at the time and I transported the kits and the jill together in a box with the origonal bedding from the hutch. The jill I picked up was really good and was letting the previous owner pick the kits up from a very small age, I think this helped the situation her being so trusting. I would say leave it as long as you can and if you have no other option but to move them, move them together and put

'TRY' what - putting her with the hob or leaving her with the jills overnight and checking on them in the morning.

I have a mother with 3 kits that are 6 weeks old and am wanting to seperate the mother for a couple of weeks before I let the kits go. I have another hutch with 2 jills in and another hutch with a snipped hob in(he was only snipped a week agao and wont be shooting blanks for another 4 weeks). I have tried putting the mother in with the 2 jills for 10 minutes but they keep attacking her neck, is this normal and will they stop once they are used to her or shall i put her back in with the snipped hob as she isn't in season.

I have just got my licence through and am wanting to buy a gun. I have seen a B425 Special Waterfowl 28" multichoke. I am wanting it to be an allrounder to start off with, do you guys think this would be a good gun to start off with and will it take 3 1/2 inch magnums or 3 inch. Any suggestion for other guns to start off with would be appreciated.

Which model miroku ?

I have just had my shotgun interview on friday and i am expecting my licence through in the next week or so. I have never really used shotguns in the past apart from clays now and again and the odd time with my uncle. I was going to go for a 28" barrel m/c as a bit of an allrounder, I have looked at the Browning 325,425 and 525(12 bore) When I have looked at the prices its alot of money to spend on a gun thats probably mainly going to be used for rabbits, crows and pigeons, and be dragged over fences and stone walls. When I have looked around there are some cheaper 12 bores that would p

having a clearout, seatbox and a few other bits
THE GRIFF replied to THE GRIFF's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
I'm going away for the weekend, if i don't get any replies by sunday night I will put this on another forum(maggot drowning), surely someone on here must know someone in the north east that wants to get started fishing. -
Depends on where i am fishing and the depth. I have recently started using the rubber type soft baits in various different colours and sizes from 2" perch style ones up to the big bulldawg type. I have had alot of fish over the last couple of years on the springdawg size, orange and yellow.

I am having a clearout and have a shakespeare seatbox with octopus legs and feeder arm, plus a few other bits and bobs. I am in Thornaby(north east). This would be ideal for any young person starting out, so feel free to message me if you are intrested. I would prefer to give these bits and bobs to a kid starting out, NOT SOMEONE thats going to take them and sell them on ebay.

Thanks again for the advice When will they stop feeding off the mother?

I can't get out shooting until friday to get some rabbits, so i will chuck one in for them then. Would you rcomend some cat meat to keep them going until then or would a pigeon/crow be ok untill friday? Thanks for the advice

I have been given a mother with 3 kits, I was told they were 3 weeks old, so they are now 4 weeks old. Over the weekend they have opened there eyes and are now wondering around the hutch. I have been feeding the mother ferret pellets, will the kits eat the pellets when they are ready or should I be putting cat meat or rabbits in for them to digest better. At what age should i let them be rehomed, they are 4 weeks now, I have got homes for all of them apart from 1 hob albino. What age will they be before they stop feeding off the mother?

I have caught Brownies when using worm and powerbait together, but I think it is aimed at rainbows when used by its self. I have also caught carp using powerbait as a surface bait on the pole and stalking the margins behind reedbeds at a few different venues.
-
Try mixing it with another paste to make it last you longer. I have mixed it with pellet paste(crushed up trout pellets and water), sometimes this can be a killer bait on its day and better than powerbait on its own. Mixing it like this also stops it from floating so you can fish it on the bottom. If you still want it to float then just hair rig a piece of cork and wrap the mixed paste around it. Also try a worm injected with air with a small bit of powerbait moulded around the eye of the hook, it looks like a giant tadpole swimming in the water, this is also a killer method on its day

What you have said is correct, but remember there is a close season for course fish on rivers until the 16th june. To check what fish you can and can't take and your fish limits you can check the Environment Agency website for local bylaws, everywhere is different, for example the salmon season starts earlier in my area (Middlebrough) than it does in York/Leeds, even though you can't keep any until the 16th June. I know you haven't got a salmon licence and this won't apply to you but this is just an example of different bylaws for different regions and rivers. You are also limited to w

I was watching this the other day. Good on him I say.

I have had the gun nearly 2 years so I don't think its a manufacturing fault on the barrel or the silencer, maybe the silencer has been knocked at some point and is now out of line because even though I have removed the burr its still catching. I need to try a different silencer on it just to make sure the threads on the barrel haven't been damaged.
-
I normally do check the zero, but on saturday night my gun needed filling up before I went so I had to fill it up on the way at a mates house (my bottle needs filling up). I know its no excuse but when we got to the new permission the farmer had guests in the cottage next to where we parked and I didn't want to upset anyone by firing close to the house. One thing led to another and before we new it we were out in the fields. I certainly wont be making the same mistake again and will ALWAYS be checking my zero in future.

just spoke to chriss at airarms and he said try a new moderator, sounds like the other one had unthreded slightly or it may of been double cocked and one of the pellets has caught it.

After going lamping last night and not hiting a single rabbit I have looked at my AA 510 this morning and found the problem. I set up a target board against the shed at about 20 yards and couldn't even hit the shed. When I looked down the barrel I noticed the inner lip on the silencer was burred where a pellet had caught it, this burr on on the silencer was throwing the pellets a mile out. Because i had camo cloth around the gun i hadn't noticed that the silencer come slightly loose(by about half a thread) and this is why it had been catching. I tightened up the silencer and removed the sm
