I have no idea of how experianced you are in shooting, but have you considered human error? I had the same problem last week until I realized I had bad posture and too firm of a grip on the stock. Thanks, Matt

How do you approach a piece of land? I've been wondering how I would go about approaching different terrains to hunt for different species.. and guess this could be an interesting topic, so please feel free to share! Thanks, Matt

I'm hoping to be able to get up there next weekend, sounds like a blast! Aye hope to meet you too, I have the same problem with transport.. but I'm used to the funny looks and even sometimes verbal attacks whilst wearing my military uniform on the way to work. Would love to "give you a hand".. or more like make rabbits run away and hide from us, I have no idea where to start with hunting really and would really appreciate that I'm going to be sending out letters on monday, got 50 printed out and enveloped/stamped up ready to post but don't like leaving things in a post-box over

Walked into Hutch's then walked out less than 5minutes later, really didn't like the look of the rifles in there, they looked so cheap and tacky that I wouldn't have felt right buying and using it. Also the man at the desk didn't seem to be able to tell me anything about Air Rifles.. figured that Duncan's may cost more, but he atleast stood with me and talked me through a lot. Also even after telling him my budget he reccomended a Edgar Brothers Mod 60 which was quite a bit below what I could have spent, which left me more to buy extras like a slip and pellets. I'm happy with my purchase a

haha sorry no Phantom I didn't drop your name, since I only know you as "Phantom from The Hunting Life forums", I assumed many people would think me a crack-head if I turned up saying "Hi the Phantom on the intaweb reccomended you to me!!" Aye I met Rod, not sure about Niel, but I met Steve the Club President. (I'm not good with names) Both helped me zeroing in my scope (with an explanation to what was happening), since the only time I've zero'd one in - in the past it has been done for me by range coaches. Had a blast at the end of the session with some pretty nice shots, was great wa

Hi, I'm going to start looking for some permission pretty soon and the one thing that seems to pop up as I read around on here is "get some insurance". Where would I get insurance from? Is it expensive (I'm pretty strapped) and would it *really* be worth it? Probably stupid questions, but I follow "the only stupid question is the question you don't ask!" philosophy. Thanks, Matt

Okay! So I bought me a rifle, went to Duncan's in Hull and got an Edgar Brothers Model 60 .22, I'm quite pleased with it and will take some pics to put up here soon. Also got in contact with the Hull & District FTC and went to the indoor range tonight, seem a ncie group of guys, got my rifle zeroed in nice (eventually, I was just happy to be shooting not caring where I was hitting for about 2hours) Felt great watching those targets ping down anyways pretty pointless post, just happy to have my rifle Thanks, Matt

Thanks again for the replies, Phantom: I will definatly be paying a visit to Duncan's tomorrow as well as Hutchinsons, didn't know that place sold Air Rifles (I was in there a few weeks ago to buy some darts, shows that I walk around with my head in the clouds) but I'll definatly be having a look. Next time I post I may be the proud owner of an Air Rifle pending seeing something I like, since I get paid tomorrow Thanks again, Matt

Thanks guys, have to ask.. what does "ATB" mean? Matt

Thanks again for the replies and thanks for that explanation Phantom, makes much mroe sense now Since I've had nothing better to do today I've pretty much just been looking online for air rifles come across this website which seems pretty cheap http://www.airguns-online.co.uk/index.htm One that stands out to me for some unknown reason is http://www.airguns-online.co.uk/super_xs19_air_rifle.htm the first special offer seems to give me everything I seem to need for just within my budget. Having looked on reviewcentre this seems to get pretty good reviews, just wondering what y
