  1. Homework done for the night, time for me bed

  2. The province of Ulster is made up of 9 counties. NI is made up of 6. Just pointing that out I wouldn't know, it's all too complicated for me. Lol, yeah, I get that.

  4. Whatever them lads end up getting, if indeed they get caught at all, will be too good for them. Not for the coursing, but for being a pair of c**ts.
  5. I've bought XTAR protected 18650 batteries and an XTAR charger, they're a good brand, checked them out before I dove in. But yeah, there are a lot of dodgy batteries out there, I always cringe when I hear of people buying the cheap stuff, it's not the kind of crying I want to be doing!
  6. I bet those problems were from misuse of unprotected single cells If you look up the LF site, the Striker come with 75W and 100W bulbs from new AFAIR, the Lance comes with the 50W and a higher power bulb will damage the reflector. My mate uses a 50W in his Striker when we're out and he'll always ask me to light something up with the 100W if it's a piece away. Horses for courses is true I'll no longer bother with LF and the associated problems, they were great lamps in their time but had pretty fatal flaws that the manufacturer never seemed arsed to respond to, I think as LED's pass t
  7. Single cell protected lithium batteries though, not lithium battery packs. Three incidents, dangerous ones have involved two Deben battery packs, and one was a Night Vision Li-ion battery pack. One started a fire in a garage, the remains of another were put up in photos on here, and the NV one was on another site and put a lad in hospital with eye injuries. I can't say I've seen incidences with protected single cell Li-ion batteries and I've been asking on CPF. Bigger beam, how so? I use the TN31 I have solely for spotting, not for shooting with, while throw was important, spill/halo was e
  8. the power connectors are crap and you need half of halfords stock of insulation tape to make it capable of being taken out after dark, other than that there fine Hey don't forget the industrial sized roll of lead free solder
  9. It's much better if you consider you need no leads, no back pack and no heavy lead acid battery / potential bomb Li-ion battery. There isn't much in it in performance. I easily spotted sheeps eyes well past 500 yards the same night, the farthest I've spotted foxes eyes with my Striker with it's 100W bulb is something around 629. A foxes eyes reflect brighter and are noticible farther away than a sheeps eyes. The only thing to be aware of it the LED tint and the job you want to do with it.
  10. You're wrong. I could make out a river 707 yards down the valley from me with my Thrunite TN31 a few nights ago. That's far enough for anyone doing anything at night on this site.
  11. LED flashlights Big batteries, wires, broken lamps, wave goodbye
  12. Two bits about them frighten me, no matter how safely I drive, there's some pleb out there with his foot stuck to the tarmac who's going to use me as his brakes. Also, how quickly those situations happened.
  13. Peanut butter does work, I've caught two rats over the past two nights in a mink cage in me shed. I thought I may have had a mouse initially so I set a snap trap which the rat triggered, the funny thing is he went back into the cage for more peanut butter afterwards, you'd think he'd have copped it.
  14. do you think he mounted the rest of it Well, we don't actually know what's behind that wall And I have to say, I could probably live out my life happily without finding out
  15. You've certainly a different opinion on mounting women there Jig, but given the ehm lack of visual amenity I can see why you picked that method
  16. I must stop cursing, f**k it I'll start tomorrow...

  17. Those coiled wires are the biggest pain in the bollix going, they not only get tangled in everything they get tangled in themselves too.
  18. Can you guys not get ammo couriered to your door? I can scan my licenses, order ammo from most dealers in the country and have it delivered by secure courier for about €7.50-10.
  19. Lef-ri, lef-ri, lef-ri, lef-ri, lef-ri, lef-ri, teeeeeeeeeeeeen-hup!
  20. They done it on the Aran Island this year. Into a rectangular hole in the cliff bottom. One lad had chickenpox, didn't look like he should be there tbh.
  21. I've wired mine direct for years and can't remember blowing any bulbs. Not saying it doesn't or won't happen but it's not been a problem or interfered with my lamping for sure.
  22. Mmm they talked about that on the radio one day, I think you need to upgrade to an Irish digital box as they exceed the UK box standards, naturally Contact Saorview or whomever is in charge of it to confirm though...
  23. I like it, but I like that period in history anyway. Bit of lawlessness and open spaces I forgot about Homeland which is another one I watch, and an Irish series that's restarting tonight Love/Hate I couldn't get hooked on Boardwalk Empire and I gave it a good chance, though I saw an episode last week and it looked much improved.
