  1. Ah, yes, I've just heard similar on another site, but (there's always one ).......... I believe the HID I got draws something like 3.2 amps, so, would that work?
  2. Yeah, topical song... thup, thup, thup, thup, thup...............
  3. If you go to Google and put in mah to amp you'll get a calculator, 18000mah is 18amp apparently. The weights look similar? More or less can be put down to different design and materials I guess, but and here's the health warning, I am guessing.

  5. Get a grip. Fire employees on those grounds you'll have some very, very happy solicitors sending you some very expensive letters. Certain Government employees or court sanctioned people don't need permission to enter lands/property. I'm a farmer, the only person who'll suffer if I don't sell my stock is me, and eventually the animals when I can no longer afford to keep them alive. You will find "the state" has considerable control over farming on this side of the world due to below cost production and the supports that system includes, supports withdrawn at the stroke of a pen. 6. http://www.thehuntin...ion-lightforce/ Only been out with it one night, so far so good, been bloody raining every other night. Well two nights if you count last night, which I don't because I couldn't see 40 yards with the fog. Got mine off Ebay from a guy in Australia. Lots of info to be had on CandlePowerForums.
  7. Ye all sound funny to me.
  8. Kindly f**k off rain, mist, drizzle, fog, precipitation in general

  10. God damn fog ruining a good lamping night

  11. For example, type fox, or HID or HMR into the search form and conduct your search. "No search results for........" I know why small words are excluded, but can some small words in common use be included? The above are just three I can think off the top of my head, I'm sure there are many more, particularly when searching for info on products.
  12. I know the calibre is well capable of dropping a fox way over 40-5- yards, as a .22lr would. It's more a case of me being too over cautious on the clean kill thing.... Having spoken with the farm owner it's seen at that location on a regular basis. So we'll meet soon enough! Whats with the .17hmr Syria story?? Got a .223 so never shot a fox with my HMR, shot them out to yards with my 22 though when I had it. Syria, messing, there are/used to be a few knocking about online reckoned the HMR could do any job at any range, got fairly amusing for a while.
  13. Moxy, thanks, I won't need that switch. I found one I had myself from years back, just a simple on/off clicky for a hand held lamp but it works, thanks again
  14. Plenty of room in my wallet, cos it's empty! I found a switch I had bought a long time ago, it's for a hand held Lightforce so just a simple on/off clicky. Wired her up on the + line and it works. I did discover that I cannot just switch it on/off at will though. I must wait a good ten seconds or more after switching the light off before I can switch it on again. Not a problem for me.
  15. Not so much hunting as pest control like Moxy. Was minding my fathers farm one year while he had a hip replacement done. Just my luck that year there was a severe problem with foxes killing lambs on me. 32 ewes in one field only walked out with something like 16 lambs in the end. Had no gun or anything at the time so met a local lad who had a bit of a reputation as a pure looper at the time. Didn't know much about him except he knew how to solve fox problems. Very obligingly he came in with me that same night, handheld DIY shop lamp and a SxS 12 gauge, and me following along with a hea

  18. They're using HMR's in Syria now to take out Govt tanks, true story
  19. Oh for sure, only flaw so far is it can't be dimmed but that's no biggie if a person is smart about using the halo. Sorry, I lie, there is another. On the scope, if I'm shooting much downhill or uphill the weight of the ballast can "tip" the light slightly, enough to take the spot off the target. It's mildly annoying but I'm sure there's an easy solution to it.
  20. Sod that, I said to myself, John, what would Jesus do? So I touched the positive and negative to the battery terminals with me hands. Let there be light I said, and there was I am invincibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !
  21. Nah, no melting with this one. There are 35w and 55w kits available, and higher again W kits. They'd melt him and Jack Frost, and send the Man in the Moon running for the dark side. The 30W kit is very handy considering all, 3 times more time on any battery if we compare it to a 100w halogen, can't argue with that
  22. Lol, I was quite relieved not to be electrocuted tonight, as I said a few days back, tis hard kill a bad thing
