  1. Dead lamb if it's lambing time, preferably one that still has both or at least one of it's eyes left. I tried a dead rabbit, guts open and all, f**k all use. Only two ewes left to lamb of my own, hopefully I won't have one, but if I do have another dead lamb, he'll be wrapped up and innocently slipped into the freezer for early next year
  2. Better luck with hip, hip, hooray I reckon. This post needs a "tin hat" smiley.
  3. Isn't the simplest option to use a scope with a range finding reticle and learn to use it?
  4. It works, caught a greycrow this afternoon, had to use a dead lamb as bait, the rabbit was useless
  5. I think I'll set it in the middle of the public road. Seen a road kill hare yesterday with two greycrows pecking away at it.
  6. String winds are prevalent in ropey weather I'd love to say it was late, but my typing has just gone all to sh1t.
  7. Nothing yet. I don't see the greycrows around as often, whether they have copped something is up or not I'm not sure. I might move it tomorrow but due to it's rather rough construction I don't want to chance a ewe getting caught in it. When I get time I'll dremel any sharp edges off it. Two thoughts about it, I had wondered whether the string winds we've been getting would close it, they haven't, so that's good. I'm also wondering if I should put some bit of carpet or flooring in it as the mesh is off the ground where the rabbit is laid. Busy with lambing at the moment so nothing in th
  8. Shot and gutted a rabbit just before dark, will see if I have anything tomorrow.
  9. Ah well, the world would be a boring place if we all agreed. Sure what's a little nuclear brinksmanship between friends. It's not as if it's new, and during the Cold War, life was a lot simpler.
  10. Look at a map. NK shares a border with SK (obviously), China, and Russia, plus it's only across the sea from Japan. Now, which of those four would be receptive of a nuclear weapon being detonated in NK? None would be my thinking.
  11. Except the Korean war came after WW2 and NK is still very much in existence.
  12. I read something lately that NK has dug quite a number of tunnels into SK, some I think you could drive a tank through. The SK side have found some of them.
  13. It would be, but how quickly could they move really? I'm sure the US/SK already have some nasty plans in place for such an eventuality. Remember, last time out in the 50's the UN side drove the NK side all the way to the Chinese border. It was the intervention of actual Chinese troops that have us where we are now. I wouldn't count on the Chinese getting involved so much, their economy depends on Western money to buy from their factories. A conflict started by NK wouldn't be good for them, or any of the rest of us.
  14. They have a lot of troops, but are they much use? Their vehicles and tanks etc would be fairly inferior to SK/US equipment.
  15. Their nuclear weapons are only of use locally, their ICBM missiles are unreliable, for that matter who knows if their nuclear devices are reliable? The real threat is the amount of other missiles and artillery targeted at the capital of South Korea, which is well within their range. I find their empty threats tiresome.
  16. I got a Fandyfire STL-V6 off deal extreme for $46 delivered. Mind you I had to buy two 18650 batteries and a charger to run it, but they're not overly dear. An €8 figure of 8 clamp and away ya go. It wouldn't have the filters, remote, or dimmer, but could still shoot a fox 180+ yards. I hope their internal wiring is better than their previous external efforts
  17. Hm, will have to dig around on Google and find an alternative. I did see mention of biodigesters somewhere but the laptop threw a wobbly and I lost the page.
  18. I didn't want to hijack just jacks thread. But, would a solar set up run a heater for a glass house? I am thinking of building one out of that double walled plastic, it's name deserts me at the moment.
  19. the antis petition is to get the main sponsor at limerick greyhound stadium to pull out, considering that happens to be J.P McManus, a life long coursing fan, theres no point in either petition really, as nothing will change anyway. still need to be signed to sicken the c**ts tho There is a point. Recently, in online polls and comments sections on various online publications there has been a bit of a ground swell in field sports people sticking together for a change and wiping the anti's nose for them. This petition is a continuation of that. Where once the anti's reigned supreme in onl
