The thing is Malt, this vote is not about the Government. It's about an EU treaty, which is important to Ireland. That's the crucial issue, Irish people voting on whether something is good or bad for Ireland and not about anyone or anything else Blair is just one aspect, everything has to be weight, most importantly probably is Ireland's standing with it's friends and allies within the EU, as a small country, good standing with other members is extremely important in any strategy adapted by Ireland in any EU matter. There will be a national election soon enough anyway, they can't open
  2. Chicken wire is too weak IMO. Cats will get in if they want, never mind larger animals wild or livestock. If I was making one again I would make as much of it out of 2"x2" expanded metal (rigid wire mesh) as I could and cable tie it together. You may have to use roofing lath, as John said, to do the ladder section, I would use dowels for the rungs. You'd then have a lightweight, quick to fabricate, easy to move, tough and long lasting trap. Just my take on it

Hang on! Did you not vote NO last time? So your gov't decides to have another vote to ensure you get to say YES. "I find it amusing UKIP and other foreign parties believe they can tell the Irish people how to vote. We'd enough of that for long enough." You have now voted for exactly that! You have always wanted a free Ireland. Kiss that good bye! Swampy Ninging sadly with atear in his eye No Swampy, I voted yes last time as well. When I see something that tells me someone else will be making our decisions for us, then I'll consider a no vote, but that's no

I'm happy enough with the EU at the moment. It's brought a lot of good things to my country. Unfortunately, people who got rich quick on the back of the property bubble have forgotten this. They take a lot of things for granted. I know it's better for my country to have it's feet under the table at the EU than not. The biggest threat I see today to a successful yes vote is the utter dissatisfaction with our current Government, who are at historic lows in the polls. I'm an opposition voter here, and I voted with the yes side which includes the Government parties, I'm just hoping people won'
  5. I voted Yes today, same as last time.

I've voted Yes because Ireland will benefit from a Yes vote. I find it amusing UKIP and other foreign parties believe they can tell the Irish people how to vote. We'd enough of that for long enough.
  7. Good thanks Frank mate, how're you getting on? Did ye get that rifle sorted?

  8. I put up a question on that other site, take a look, will change anything that needs changing. We'll see, Mark, lol.
  9. Got my forms in this morning. Two scary comments from the Garda. 1. "I learn something new every time you come, we've not even been briefed on all this yet you know." 2. "We should have you out at the station doing the firearms paperwork for us" He also told my mate I was the fella to go to if he had any problems filling out the forms. Be afraid, be very afraid...
  10. Oops. I didn't read the full post. Sent you on that PM regarding the letters.
  11. Gotta be quick with Chalky, he'll leave you in a trail of dust before you know he's evern been
  12. Already had that pegged Matt Got the two inch stuff for the Larsen cages, need the brother in laws van to get sheets of the one inch mesh, that's all that's holding me up at the moment Chalky, that is indeed one of the boldest, most thought provoking post I've had the pleasure to read in many a day I must admit, I agree entirely
  13. In proper damp humid weather sheep will make maggots, unwounded and clean fleeced Seen one of my lambs do this earlier this month before dipping. Not a trace of shit or dirt on the fleece, little opening in the wool on the top of his shoulder, crawling with the fuckers. Into the dip bath and a lovely death for them! God knows what started them off in that poor fella.
  14. Mate saw this guy being dropped from the sky by one of his own kind onto a road earlier Anyway, in the past few years there seem to be a growing number of them in this area. I was wondering what their correct name is as they're always just referred to as "hawks" here. ATB, John
  15. I am intending to make my own, out of 8x4 sheets as you say Can't weld but I know a couple of lads who can. Got some clips off JB before so I'll try them first. Cheers RS
  16. AF, Thanks very much, great reply that JB, John, do you make the holders or buy them? I'll be setting mine for mink along the shoreline and also on banks of small rivers and lakes. I may venture out into mink raft territory but that will be for another time. 120-2, Thanks very much for that Ian, Search, I have been Though not specifically for P&G which I'll do now. The trouble I found on my search was a lot of broken links, whether that's due to attachments or PhotoBucket or similar images being broken I don't know. RS, Looks dead enough to me, well d
  17. As per title And holders too if ye got any, I need to make a few tunnels so I can knock off some mink. I think the mink are playing fcuk with the local quacker population as there aren't nearly as many about as other years. Would hawks take ducks as well? Yes, I know, protected, and no, I wouldn't, just interested if they would or not. ATB, John
