Top right, "View New Content" This is like looking at a spreadsheet in an accountants ,... Why not incorporate any new security measures that are required,.THEN,...put the forum back like it fecking was,...fer fecks,.fecking sake !!!! Grumpy sod I like the top of the new background. But, once you scroll down, it's all pea soup green for me, rather dull'n'boring. Apart from that looks alright for something new.
  3. Well I'd like a crisp sunrise with a bit of frost on the grass and a layer of mist hanging over the marshes... I'll see what I can do Does tomorrow morning suit?
  4. Fcuks sake... I just now got a call from one of my farmers, three hens killed last night... Could he not have picked nicer weather to go killing in Weeeell, time to get the arctic clothes on. Later folks
  5. Hailstones battering off the windows, proper chill in the air, wind, dark early.... What more could ya ask for
  6. gotta be honest buddy, i wouldnt care if my dog had a banger stuck up her arse, the second she bit my face she wouldve only heared one more bang in her life... spot on mate x 2 times.
  7. Depends what ya want it for. Blitz handheld has the beam that goes farthest as it has the biggest reflector. Cons are it's big in size and rather heavy, it catches a hell of a lot of wind. Striker, throws a good beam, it's much smaller than the blitz but goes pretty far for it's size. Don't know of any con for it. Lance, well it's a bit on the small side in my opinion. For dogs it's going to be either the blitz or striker I imagine. For shooting, go for a scope mounted striker.
  8. There's a subtle deep red glow as far as I remember, haven't used mine in a good while now so a bit fuzzy with the exact details. I supposed the distance would depend on the NV you got, my ranger likes the IR lamp more than the laser.
  9. In your pocket fella. I'm no expert but I do some reading on the subject elsewhere and the reason you can still see through it after turning the unit off is as the tube is still charged. My guess is that light will damage it in that state so I'd be very careful with it around light for at least 10 minutes after turning it off. I might be over doing it there, but better to be safe than sorry. (PS) if it came with caps I'd use them also.
  10. Fireworks :realmad: We've an older collie here, working sheepdog. Before he came to us, aged about one year, he had at least two abusive homes When he came here first, I remember trying to pet him. I was sat down in a chair and he backed as fast as he could and hit the wall opposite when he saw my hand reach for him He came along great though, working in the fields and out on the hill etc. Generally well rounded, fit, happy dog now. He's got some eccentricities but with that history I take them as granted. Saturday evening the fireworks were particularly bad. It's not the
  11. Put a few shot bunnies in a bucket in the boot one night. No worries, butchered them for larsen trap food the next day. What I didn't realise was there was a crack in one corner of the bucket, and yep it just had to be the same corner that any blood or other crap pooled up in. Had no reason to go near the boot for a few days but by God when I did  Out came all the tools, all the car stuff, had to throw away the boot mat and the cardboard wheel well cover, clean and wipe everything down, took a while to find and get rid of the wriggly fellas. I'll be bloody well checking buckets any
  12. A minute he says I know women who'd talk less Got a bit worried when you told me I was looking well Thank fcuk the Tea lady was there to divert your advances First off I gotta say thanks for the invite, got the hareem all set up today as planned Sounds like ye had a great night of it altogether Oh yeah, don't know how ye press buttons down in the Mid Wesht but I know a fella from the North Wesht that could use that link as I sent it Would have cut about an hour off the conversation if that had happened
  13. Sooner that stupid ban is killed off the bloody better for everyone, only creates hassle for the lot of us.
  14. Get an A-Tec or an ASE Horrible rusty things them T8's
  15. I presume you want to shoot rabbits? I would start off with a .22lr bolt action rifle. CZ's are popular, Sako or Anschutz if you're flush. Scopes are a world of personal opinion. You'll need decent glass for shooting in low light conditions like dusk/dawn, and at night under a lamp. I have an MTC Viper 4-16x50 on my .22lr, not the best for low light but under the lamp and in daylight it does the job just fine. One good thing about my scope is it's reticle, it's got a heap of aim points which let me quickly shoot at different ranges. There will be as many scope suggestions as people rep
  16. Don't forget folks, extra hour hunting or in the scratcher Over here at 2am they go back to 1am. Enjoy!
  17. If you were talking to me Dave, no, they were factory loaded 40 grain Hornady Vmax. Be a while now in fairness before I can shoot from here to your part of the country
  18. Shredded rabbit Snap I saw parts of him cartwheel through the air, certainly no suffering there. I don't think John had actually realised what the calibre could do before then, even though he's seen plenty of foxes shot with it. Kept hearing "Jesus Christ" as we walked over to survey the scene.
  19. A couple of evenings ago myself and my mate John were out about an hour before dark to knock off some longer range bunnies. Nabbed one with the .223 at 280 yards, not a mark ever on him, you would not know he'd been shot until opened up. Couple of people walking dogs who shouldn't have been there disturbed the rabbits then so we had a long wait for anything to show at the distance we wanted. Eventually another came out and we ranged him at 303 yards. The wind had picked up a little and between settling with the rifle and getting the drop correct I under compensated for the wind, missing no mor
  20. Yep, agree entirely. If you shoot and run dogs, buy a scope mounted version, you can use them hand held as they are Been doing that for years.
