thanks all, for the interesting answers. I prefer to treat my own dogs for most things and don't have much faith in some vets, but just wandered how it would be if it all came on top. It's certainly something to think about

Does anyone know the legal aspect of self treatment of working dogs injuries and ailments at home without going to the vets? This follows someone I know being raided and after excessive court costs was eventually fined for failing to take a dog mildly affected by fox mange to the vets even though he had treated the dog himself with Aludex etc.

I empty a full bottle 100ml into a 45 gall plastic drum the fill it 3/4 with water. I dip every dog in the kennels, affected or not then do the affected dogs again 10 days later. Then put the remaining solution in a knapsack sprayer and soak the kennels and runs transport box/ trailer etc. Seleen shampoo is quite good as well but is not quite as heavy duty, but it can be bought without prescription.

Does anyone have an opinion on which is the best foxcaller. I've tried loads of the plastic mouth callers and haven't really found a consistently good one. Any ideas??
