  5. She looks an absolute cracker Catcher, the shot of her climbing on to the river bank is quality. She has that look in her eyes, determined and upto trouble at the same time Keep us informed on her training and growth
  6. shes a baby mate, forget about trying to gt her to get hunting, thats the easy part..just let her explore and learn the way of life, don't over do the training, and don't allow to much free reign... If you do either you will regret it, play training is the key in a few months time, just stick to that recall, and the sit thats the foundation mate. And for the initial question, she will soon be ripping holes through the long grass and eventually bashing brambles, you want her to do when you have asked for it otherwise you will release a free hunting machine! Good Luck mate

  11. May I ask where you got this info? As it's news to me, I always thought the rule was 8 years old unless there was exceptional circumstances. Edited to add - Quote from Kennel Club website - 1) As per Regulation B3.25 22c (2) “The General Committee will not accept an application to register a litter when the dam has already reached the age of eight years at the date of whelping. Relief from the restriction set out in 22c (2) may be considered by the General Committee normally provided the application is made prior to the mating, and the proposed dam has previously whelped a

  19. Fencehopper I agree that jealousy is a great incentive to get a dog going, on the negative side could using this method bring frustration into the dog and maybe begin to open up/give tongue?? Not questioning you at all bud, i haven't got a scooby about lurchers but I am sure thats a possibility. RS
  20. i do apreciate your way of thinking ..but its like this .. if you want quality ,you need to pay for it ..otherwise do with out if you cant afford it its each to there own example if you want to use my dog as a stud ,,you know the score /pup /or price of a pup ..no negotiating your choice to use or not Thats not always the case paying for quality as some of the springers i have seen bred out high priced FTW studs have been no better than those bred out of a keepers dog for an £100 stud fee i find that people are pricing studs stupidly, you have unscrupulous breeders who want to
