  1. £200 is a fair price, you see some paperless for £300 but thats being all abou the £££. If the dog is quality and you line her with a good stamp of a dog many people aren't bothered about the papers...there was a thread on here not so long ago regarding that. Not being funny or anything though is this the dog which you had up for sale just recently...past few days??
  2. haha fast on that wasn't ya, I fancied that
  3. I know of Quarrybrae, my bitch's grand sire was Quarrybrae simon FTCH.
  4. Hi all, Advertising for a friend, He is parting with his lil bitch pup, out of worker to worker. Dog is based up in North Wales, He is after £100 but may take less, the reason for this dog going is that he is into his lamping and the dog was intended to be for his missus, pup is full of it and missus hasn't took. Bold as brass, a real belter and very biddable. If i was in the market for a pup I would have her. Anyone interested drop me a PM and we will take it from there. Upload some images soon or may be able to text them through if interested. Regards RS PS Ma
  5. thanks hendo and nercwys, will have to catch up with you soon nercyws what happened to the training day haha!! wonder if the kennel is still going, i think not as i can't find anything at all on it. Nercyws any of the other names i mentioned in yours. Hily i don't know any staxago, but hopefully someone may be of some help.
  6. Hi all, Thought I would start a thread where some other members may be able to shed more light on dogs in pedigrees or full affixes. I know there was a chat regarding Hales Smut and it was interesting. For me I would like to know more regarding the affixes of Goldenacre,Aelfryn,Kearsley and Flintmountain. I know Flintmountain had some success the Biggest known dog was "Gorsty Guss" I want to know if this particular kennel is still going and so on. Look forward to more questions asked, more answers.
  7. noticed someone mentioned the "furminator" cracking bit of tool and think it would be suitable, it only strips the dead hair so the dog isn't being trimmed to look like a fluff ball in the future, its doing all the work of brushing and hand stripping in theory. get on youtube and type furminator, its unreal,£25 i think they are from most pet shops. Good Looking dog aswell
  8. hi i'm sure this dog has found a new home!!
  9. i want to take my hat off to you mate, you have acted very mature, and have really thought the process out...i know that this pup is coming to a good home, you and the pup enjoy it. take some images of when the run is done aswell as the pup. apologise for being immature and spoiling the thread. Ricky
  10. Good Luck with it lads, sounds great and a very good idea, have a good un when the time comes around.
  11. will make some contact with him and let you know.
  12. Hi Nic, would like to ask your honest opinion on this, no arguing or whatever. Would you advise a young lad to buy his first springer out of a Ftch to Ftch breeding or similar or something not so established???
  13. thought I would bring this thread back to life after a lil discussion on the young lads thread got a lil' heated and didn't want to ruin it. Well Hendo, you tell me how i am talking utter bollicks, I was advising a young lad on what I would be a good choice for him, horses for courses how i have said, I never mentioned anything about a pedigree being free from Ftch's, that would be stupid.. My bitch has got a nice line of Ftch's behind her, all the good old names, I wouldn't dream of buying a springer with no tested lines or dogs behind it... if i did I would be more than likely buying
  14. Forget the labrador bobndog, you were jumping on hendo's wagon... making out i was silly for advising a lad to get a dog which isn't brimming with ftch's, and from you mentioning the labrador quote don't you think thats a lil hypocritical, one minute advising a labrador and then making out i was making a stupid comment advising the lad not to get a super charged ferrari of a dog instead of a springer which would suit his needs?? Horses for courses and all that!!
  15. Well done on getting a deposit o the pup mate, made up for you, you seem to have your head screwed on and I hope you have many good days out in the field with your future companion.
  16. hendo and bobndog are you telling me that a lad who has never owned a working springer is his life to get a fast trial bred which will in my opinion to be hot to handle, read the thread what the lad is after, he isn't after a ferrari he's after a dog which will suit his needs... Very defensive for some reason regarding the trialling bred Hendo, I was advising the lad to get something which suits his needs... I have nothing against a amazingly bred springer Ftch's throughout, you know there is something special in there, the dogs are champions and bred in theory to be the best but why would
  17. weird breed the springers the other post made me laugh regarding his dog pissing himself, mine does it out of pure excitement also, embarassing if people don't understand its a springer thing haha!!
  18. a couple of things, what is Ftch's i have no idea what you on about there. Ftch's = Field Trial Champion's hope that makes some more sense to you... i thought this would be a good breed and from working stock at a good price. what do you guys reckon? I think the brains are there aswell as the drive some good qualities but your never 100% sure what you can get out of a mix, it would be nice if you got all the good qualities, but you could get all the bad.... what price are they, well done on being so prepared mate, if the price is right with these pups, and you happy with the scea
  19. Are you on about your springer Dave, if so very normal haha my bitch does circles and my mates bitch keeps going scattering it everywhere, bloody nuisance...
  20. Jack this is perfectly normal mate, all what you have to do is when the dog pulls turn 180 degrees and walk in that direction, this will stop pulling or even just stop still when the dog pulls, it will understand that its getting nowhere by pulling! Good Luck
  21. Hi mate, been reading this thread over the past few days and my decision would be to go with the springer, on the basis that you need the dog to bush and also retrieve this dog will be perfectlyh suited, also with the ferreting it is possible but from experience they can be very difficult to settle.... the key to buying a springer would be to get one which isn't brimming with Ftch's as the dog would be very high tuned and more than likely too hot to handle... You need a dog which will suit your needs, I would recommend you to go and have a word with your local gamekeeper ask him if he
  22. Do not Spay, not reason for it, she may turn out to be the best dog you have ever owned and you may want to keep a pup back out of her.
  23. more colour the better definitely, so you are going to have 3 pups, hard work ahead for you buddy!! What you going to do run them on and keep the best for yourself?? You seem like you have bred for the right reasons and top man for not being in a rush to sell, think they will go reasonably quick, if your stuck with any I will happily adopt, and keep one for life, in a wonderful working home.
