  1. Well done on rearing a nice healthy looking litter, its good to see!! The sire and Dam look spot on, aswell as the pups, hope they all get great working homes. Are you keeping any for yourself??
  2. okay pal, you just need to reinforce it, nothing worse than a dog bogging off on you, when a dog is in the proximity, put yours on lead and walk in other direction, I wouldn' sit the dog whilst excited as you are building the situation up. hope that makes sense, stick at it and you will get somewhere for sure, GOOD LUCK
  3. its an S plate avensis mate, bought to tie me over why I sold my merc estate, thought it would sell but its not a seller, might have to drop the price on it, to see it gone. Is there many Astra's with the seats in the back?? What price do they vary at.
  4. exactly what i'm after, my bloody car won't sell though. Fair price too pal, Good LUck with the sale
  5. the key to this behaviour is you pal, you need to anticipate every move whlst out with your dog and every situation, if you can't train without distractions where the dog is 100% you will end up with faults and failure where there is a distraction. If you can only train the dog in a public place I would constantly be looking in the proximity, as soon as a dog appears, yours is on the lead. I would then do some playing with your dog on the lead, lots of turns, moving fast-moving slow, being interesting on your part. This will be a game but if done right you will be instilling the heel work.
  6. she looks a belter and good luck with the traning, it sounds like your going well so stick at it it. regards RS PS. Springerman the 2 ESS look spot on in your avatar, L&W especially.
  7. Bit more info mate, The price - what breeding is behind them and so on.
  8. i've read about this pup in the CMW, the owner seems over the moon with him, cricket i think he's called. very Border terrier looks in the face.
  9. WELL DONE Hendo, Cracking breeding and as always these pups will be cared for. If you are after a Springer this is a fine litter. Nercwys if you go for one I will come on a road trip if you want a drivers mate haha.
  10. Very good subject to raise, I'm with Blackpack on this, Ithink there should be an acknowledgement on if the dog done what said on the tin, far too many dogs get passed about, like Dell said patience is the key, people want a quick fix or a quick buck. NO GOOD, hard work pays off not convenience. RS
  11. if £150 is mates rates, he is a tough mate. I'd give a pup to a good friend who will care for and work the dog properly. I wouldn't have one off him personally.
  12. Be made up if you come to an arrangement Nercwys, be able to get out together with the pups then!! Well done again Hendo they look spot on with great markings, hope they find good homes and i can vouch for the lad above, loves his spaniels, and will have an a* permanent working home. Was it the same Sire as last time or not, what lines are in them??? Kind Regards RS.
  13. Good Luck with the sale mate, looks like you have done them justice.
  14. dog gone, great pack photomate, they all look spot on-a real credit to you.
  15. Is Darren not the lad who runs Kirkbourne Gundogs? haha thanks for correcting me, yes your right, easy mix up though.
  16. darren runs kirkham gundogs doesn't he?? I think he's a sound honest guy,who has a major love of working dogs aswell as knowing what he is upto, I know I would have a dog off him, go see him and have a chat with him, you can make your own mind up then!! Let us know how it goes
  17. I wouldn't train anything really mate, the sit is fine, and recall thats about it, I have a pup of similar age and I am in no rush at all, I am letting him get used to the world-surroundings whilst having some fun with me. I was totally diffrent with my first spaniel, to eager and the whole training fell flat in my face when she reached her adolescence, I had to re-train her and it was tough doing the same job twice. GOOD LUCK and enjoy the pup, where in the country are you mate??
  18. leave the shock collar mushroom, you have got a far better chance with the dog being that bit more closer, what i would do if i was you, would be silent and let the dog go, when she is at the distance, call her in....fuss,fuss & more fuss. Back out again, same again, repitition is the key, its much harder when you are 100m and 200m away, the dog is used to being a huge distance. away. GOOD LUCK to the both of you,
  19. well mate, honestly you are in a huge dilemma, ranging out of distance is a huge problem, its a habit whch is hard to stop especially the distance you are talking about. i have made a similar mistake in my first gundog, allowing the dog to have free reign, i wasn't allowing 100 to 200 metres though, the dog should always be within 20 ft of working, You could try, the have the dog on a long line for a long period of time, the dog could get used to staying in that distance but if i'm honest with you, it may be a problem which you can not defeat-due to the dog knowing that when he is off
  20. Good Luck on the last one, made up they sold well for you.
  21. That is what I like to hear, a good ending, hope he makes the grade mate, be one great outcome!! Keep us informed
  22. Good Luck with it mate, Its one tough job getting a house, I am on the verge of being homeless, but got a house to go a view today!! Hope you find something soon, nice choice also, I have always fancied scotland,
  23. haha that has just made my day, great lil script!! Top man
