  7. Edd that would be a great idea, its funny how this subject has come up because i have just stopped my local shop from ordering it for me.
  8. A fair few went out quicky, aubrey landyman didn't have much luck with his rosebay dogs! Thought he would of done well again. Happy David Lissett done well again though

  10. Winner this year was David Lissett once again and the winning dog was his bitch Buccleuch Jazz. Second place was awarded to Jon Bailey with his dog Maesyronon Market Trader. Third place went to Ian Clarke with Kidnais Sucessor Fourth went to Ian Openshaw with Clanicker Mick.
  11. I personally use the technique of turning,stopping..always make it seem like a game, if the dog pulls, i turn in the opposite direction walking into there path or if they pull i stop dead... I would leave training the pup the heel command for a while stu?
  12. looking good stu, that bitch is growing very fast-hows she coming on. Your a right pose aswell haha
  13. I'l have to get some and put them up, there is some very good dogs indeed on the thread, well done for starting it stu!
  14. V-max I know what is involved in the training of a dog, I have an elder one- the subject was raised just saying how good it is to realise you have a dog with some real potential and learning ability, there is no bubble to burst I hope i can just do him justice and make a good worker out of him, and one which ca be enjoyed instead of being a nag and a pest to a dog to get it to what is expected "thats been the case with the older springer" This pup so far has been a dream!!
  15. its nice to see training progressing isn't it, especially when your a novice-have you had a helping hand at all?? What lines is your dog from?
  16. Nice stamp Lee, hows training going and whats the dogs intended use??
  17. Ian English breeds very well bred dogs so well done to you for getting your hands on one The Witchwillows dog which is doing very well is bred by Ian isn't it?? "Helmsway Hawk Of Witchwillows" You have got some good dogs up your way Baz, not very good footy teams though
  18. Did you breed the 7month bitch yourself? Haha I know what phase your at with the clumber, lots of feeding and lots of picking up! RS
  19. Its nice when things are going smoothly thats for sure, i still have to get through that dreaded teenager phase, but I am going to see a trainer once a month for guidance and real expertise. This dog has been utter bliss compared to my headcase bitch, she was a bitch in every sense of the word, head strong, independent, a nuisance to train. Waidmann & Baz what have you got at the minute to run on?? under 1 years old, how is it going and what phase are you on? RS
  20. this the bike you robbed off the teenager outside your local shop :11:
  21. Hi all, thought I'd raise the subject on when you realize you have a pup with real potential to succeed and be a good dog for you? My pup which is coming up 7months, I believe has something special and that he is going to be a very good dog if I do him justice, everything is so natural for him, retrieving, obedience work. He cottons on so quick and is unbelievably biddable. I obviously haven't tested him yet and done anything serious as I do not want to spoil him, but i know he is going to be a good un and I knew it from the moment i brought him home. What do you's look for an
  22. Rytex is an affix of a kennel which have had alot of success in the trialling world, Iain the breeder has made so many ftch's. Hope that has cleared it up for you
  23. its preference, a lot of old men i know which are into there spaniels will not touch anything with rytex... I think alot of it boils sown to jealousy, because no1 can doubt what Ian has done, but people don't like all the white, sensitivity, speed and so on. Its preferences isn't it but I would love to know the sole reason. Its funny also as 8 out of 10 pedigrees these days will feature Rytex in there. Its difficult to avoid it, so maybe breeders with pedigrees without rytex in them are using this as a unique way of selling, I know Newflame use that as a major selling point. "
  24. pups look well, just looking forward to seeing yours now!
