  4. Hi darbo the mother to my bitch I was just describIing is all Burrell line if we are referring to the same chap. (Rough coated)
  5. The bitch is lurchers x racing whippet/Brittany. The pedigree of the lurchers goes back generations and if you go back enough there is kelpie, huskie, Ibiza hound and lots more. The britanny was introduced because it had the supplest shoulders they had ever come across. Hope this helps a little. I have pics of the lurcher and whippet/Brittany if people want to see them and they are the grandparents to these pups. PM me if you would like more info, nothing to hide here genuine awesome lurcher pups!

  7. Does anyone work these dogs in enclosed countryside as a posed to on the fens. In other words hunt them in small fields and how do they get on?
  8. Are there any whippet or Whippetxgrey racing/coursing events in the midlands area in 2011 as i would love to look see!!

  18. I owned a cracking English dog he was 56 pounds and i had him till he died at the age of 7 from liver failiure. He was amazing at ratting and had some bigger things as well but was never left to finish. He also ate a few cats which came in the garden. But was great with other dogs and people. Rest in peace spikey.. I allway wondered why more people don't work these cross. I guessed they had tried them and they weren't as good. But who knows. mine was fast enough with out any greyhound in him. Excluding charles.
  19. This may be covered some where on this site but i was just wondering are there such things as lurcher holidays where you can travel to scotland or lake district to stay and hunt. (as im in leicestershire the land of little game) Any one have any info???
  20. My 15 month old pup will retrieve anything perfectly other than a fresh live rabbit!!! She catches them and the runs in to middle of the field and puts them down and course them again, two or three times. If i get her to retrieve the same rabbit next morning she will do it perfectly. Any advice out there please???
