    andycanman I think you may have got it wrong. For a FAC application you must have 2 referees who can be "anybody" as long as they are not relatives or Police and over 21 and have known you for 6 months to a number of years, they both have to fill in a full reference sheet and send it in separately with out you seeing it.Each one can referee for the whole family as long as the fit the requirements. On a Shotgun application you have 1 counter signature, who MUST be a professional, accountable person of standing ??? ie MP, Dentist, solicitor, Doctor, Nurse, somebody with qualification let

    I will try and locate one at the weekend and have a look through it if possible, i was intending to go for a s&b but saw this scope at a good price, an equivalent s&b would be double the cost of the Meopta Hi I've got a Meopta, Best value scope there is, imo, excellent optics, and build quality, don't be put off by the price thinking its inferior, it isn't. Have a look through one and you will buy it!

    Here's my tuppence worth. All waste bones, scraps skin, etc etc the butcher has to pay for it to be removed and disposed of. Its collected usually by a individual company, who will then sell it on to another company etc etc. till it ends up as fertiliser or whatever. In Sheffield most of the raw stuff you want you can get for free, but offer them something for it, 50p or a £1 and they will look after you. Tell them its for your dogs, ferrets, whatever let them know what you want, and they, (well ours do) cut them up for you. That's the proper Butchers not the Morrisons, Tesco, lot,

    You say you are leaning towards a 20b, why? As the other guy said, 12b is cheaper and far more choice in type, There would be hardly any difference in recoil with an auto. You did say for ferreting and pigeons, Auto's ideal, for pheasants on a full shoot it probably wouldn't be allowed, same goes for clays. The odd pheasant on your permission, is no problem obviously! Depending on your budget you could buy both, you could get a Hatsan Escort auto, and a Lanber / Baikal over & under if you look around, An auto and o/u for less than £500. all 3 makes are excellent, sturdy 1st t

    BARF Bones and raw food Plenty of "RAW" meaty bones, all sorts, chicken, pigeon, beef, pork, rabbit, lamb, any bones and raw meat, I feed mine whole pigeon, less the feathers, whole rabbit less the head feet and guts, chicken wings, etc etc, They don't like pheasant but who can blame them. Before anybody has a fit, these are all raw, many vets recommend them!! But NEVER EVER give a dog a cooked bone, best of all most of it you can get for free!!
