i had a bitch out of blue years a go ,blue was 3/8bull 5/8grey. he was a big dog think it was 28inch and probabley weighed over 100pound

lightly built bitch for me with decent wind ,sound temprement,good feet and can do it in the field. As for track or coursing greyhound it wouldnt matter as long as it had the qualities i wanted.

just try not to get the dog in the situation were it wont run the rabbits , keep giving the dog the rabbits that are further out and maybe it will come good.all the best

am with dotty on this one , i had a dog do it simular way bred as dottys but older coming up to retirement. its so frustrating when you know they can and have caught rabbits in that situation before. as for clever i dont know maybe they just want the easy life lol. all the best with it

defintley companion for me and yes get in there and help with edible quarry but as for pre ban foxes that was a fox dogs job. if i felt the need to help the dog dispatch a fox i wouldnt be using him because afterall he was bred to kill foxes not hold them untill back up arrives.jmho -
matey you say the ped means f**k all. your so very wrong, the ped and breeding of both the bull, aswell as the original greyhound used was the best of the best- in the breeding of the best bull lurchers. then you forget about crossing bull with grey, as you can breed best to best bull crosses, test em hard and cull the shite. this is how we made lines of game lurchers that make light work out of heavy jobs. that is the problem, people breed off bulls that have not been thoroughly tested and bred off tested lines, same as using retired track greyhounds given away for nowt as brood bitches d

sad news,they nearly give their owners a heart attack watching them run in the field everythings flat out lol. obviously a non experienced reply. this bitch had a brain just as clever as a lurcher, coz i treated her like one. like i say if there in the right hands. if i had the choice between her or a lurcher. i take her back without a thought. non experienced reply and this coming from a kid who run his unfit greyhound with a belly full of grub on a hot day ,messer.
