  8. Been ferreting for 4 years now my dogs are still wery young ! Had a patterdale but she died and so did my first ferret so i got my first lurcher nearly 2 years ago ! But i was taken out for a year first to make sure it wasnt just a fad i was going threw. Dont think iv mist 1 sunday ferreting yet, and the dogs have not mist a day walk in 3 years. Now i have a lurcher a whippet pup and a jack russel and 7 ferrets And im only 16 so when i finish school ill have all the time for the dogs so cant wait
  9. in what way did it not take a liking to it mate,i would defo say the perfect x for a ferreting partner but thats only my oppinion cheers rob Same thats why my uncle got him for me but he tends to drift away from the ditch wanting the rabbit to bolt across the field so when the rabbits bolt and stay close to the ditch he doesnt give much chase ! But hes 110% lamping was you only bolting them for the dog to run or was you netting up aswell We dont usually use nets because we have 2 lurchers at each side I dont really believe in using nets when you have running dogs with

  11. Kind of new to the hunting game only been doing it 4 years so had terriers and ferrets for the first couple of years but just under 2 years ago i was given a collie x grey and it being my first running dog i made a couple of mistakes with him but hes very loyal and not 2 yet so looking foward to seeing him in his prime Mainly got him for ferreting as i go every sunday but strangely he didnt take a liking to it but is excellent on the lamp After a long discusion with the lads and my dad about what a want a dog to do for me they talked me out of getting a fox lurcher as i needed a bit more
  12. Nice catch Lovely dog how old is it and what is it tts ?
  13. No worries , I know Bull crosses are easier to get looking fairly toned but so far only a few bulls have been posted on this topic. Both Keano and you have posted pics of amazing looking Collie crosses, Mally's posted some crackers of his Whippet and Thompsons dogs has posted a lovely looking Saluki cross. So it must be possible? Ya i agree Mallys whippet is a fine looking bitch But another thing could be the cameras used some might be better than others , but some do look fitter than others but the world would be a boring place if we were all the same !
  14. Ino he was on top form even after geting a shock off the wire geting into the first field Couldnt fault him though
  15. Not having a go or anything mate but most of the lurchers being posted on this forum are the very muscular bull x and compared to these most other breeds dont look to have that much muscle tone but could be equally as fit if not fitter than those with muscle tone in there breed ! Please correct me if im wrong but thats jus my input thats all ! Heres mine hes collie x Not the best or latest pic but it will have to do
