    never washed my hunting gear, even when covered in sheep poo!! The missus wasn't too happy though when I came home in that! I did buy some new t-shirts a while back and had to leave them on the line in all weathers for over a week, not because I was worried about the quarry smelling me but more because I couldn't stand the smell myself and didn't want the soft flowery smell lol.

    Mikey, What damage would you be likely to cause on a springer, surely its the same action as a PCP buy the time the pellet (felt or lead) starts moving down the barrel? Cheers, andy

    Good read here chaps, I've never really given much thought to shooting seated. I've always tended to shoot either prone or kneeling (sat on foot). I will definately be putting a little more thought into it next time and look forward to seeing some examples on verminhunterstv. It's good to have these posts, I never know what I'm going to learn next!!! Cheers everyone. ATB, Andy

    I agree with you all, definately 9-13. My reason is when you're shooting in the field if the grass is slightly high the other is too short to see over. And as Garrick said tilt is definately worth the extra, also I think the general feeling is that the cheap ones are just as good as some of the other pricey well know name ones. It may be worth asking for recommendations on good cheap makes! ATB, Andy

    I personally think they are great scores, taking into account the fact that I know for sure that at least a couple of the chaps from here haven't really shot HFT before. Hats off to all you guys! The great thing is these guys are only going to get better, they're having a great day out and improving their skill not only at all aspects of shooting but also range finding etc. Well done lads, keep the updates coming!     Hey everyone, Going to be striping down my HW77K stock very soon and rather than re-staining ( i think the stock is beech) I think I would like to add a bit of colour! Thinking about something like the Hunter Green of the Air Arms or maybe a hint of red??!!?! Anyway getting to the point, can it be done, how easy is it to do etc.. I thought maybe adding some sort of dye to the oil before rubbing into the stock or rubbing a colour dye into the stock before the oil?!??! Thoughts anyone?? Cheers Andy
