If you are driving you are going to get rinsed, period ! Id make sure exactly how much you are getting rinsed for but no matter what happens you will be into the best part of £100 minimum (CC £12 + EZ £10 ? If your car complies + parking £7 plus an hour depending on make, year, engine emission etc etc, a big diesel will cost about £10 an hour ?…..oh, and you’ll keep having to move it every few hours…..London is designed to rinse anyone driving) Parking ticket £80 odd reduced rate A gazillion ethnic traffic wardens who take pleasure in making everyone’s life a misery The new
  3. Oh, I 100% agree mate but it seems to get used now in a context of “it’s not their fault” type thing….like some kind of get out of jail excuse.
  4. They don’t make the news at all now except in “extreme” cases (I’d have said they are all extreme but there you go), it just “normal” now so it don’t even get reported half the time. Ask any paramedic almost anywhere in the country and I’d hazard a guess that they have the stab kit on the front seat all the time, they don’t bother stashing it away because they will be using it a few times a week, every week, everywhere.
  5. “Mental health issue……”
  6. You must have some constitution mate, going steady away on beer is something even a non drinker like me can manage but that stuff will do most men in ! Lol They used to serve this horrible, chemical tasting cider in pubs called “K” when I was a young man and I had to avoid it in the end as I kept wrecking boozers……once held off the police and regulars from a public bar for nearly an hour armed only with darts and pool balls….thought I’d better turn it in after that ! Lol
  7. Exactly the same with my boy mate, how strange huh

    New Toy Arrived

Sort of got it for a bit of everything mate but fishing is definitely up there, we lost power a couple of times last winter for a couple of days and I now have petrol, gas and now this to heat food and water. Just pays to be a little bit in front of things when you are as out the way as me…..sounds bit “prepper” and I suppose it is but it’s no fun being snowed in with no power and there is no gas where I live.
  9. Been meaning to get one for ages, looks a tidy bit of kit
  10. I’m out of “likes” but well played one and all, some belting stuff on here lads. Easy to get lost in day to day noise and forget how wonderful all this stuff of ours is.
  11. Go and put yourself outside the tent and stand there until you have come to your senses you silly boy ! Lol lol
  12. Tidy that mate, 5000 people in my little local town to see the Tumbling Paddy’s last weekend…..the population of the town is only 2000. My boy was at it with all his pals, lads just like him all being part of their fairly traditional community, beer, craic…..couldn’t have given him that where I used to live.
  13. Anything like that is tidy mate, in a world full of “same old, same old” spades music, connecting back to stuff that’s a reflection of you is top drawer. Its one if the great things about how they preserve their language here….I don’t care if people think it’s silly but I absolutely believe it connects them to their past and in doing gives them a distinct culture. In this world where “culture” is a buzz word for anything alien, people forget we have a long and rich history and culture of our own that is absolutely exquisite. I love “Electric Lady Land” as much as the next m
  14. I’m surpassing that ! Lol ……over a thousand years and counting ! I got one the Dubliners to play at a football fundraiser and night out I organised a few years back, he was a top lad and gave his time for nothing as his step grandchild played on the kids team I was coaching. Very talented professional, touring musician.
  15. I follow a lad from Cumbria called JP Worsfold, decent mate.
  16. I have not mate, but I’ll look them up
  17. My beleife is that it is a real feeling mate, it’s well documented that I believe a people are connected to everything that ever went before them so for me that would seem totally normal.
  18. I’m sure it does mate, like attracts like in nature.
  19. Yep, I think that as well…..maybe I’m just imagining things but it connects you to your past I feel.
  20. I’m sitting here having my cup of coffee, listening to some type of bird of prey in the wood beyond, terrier is whining at me…..
  21. For some reason, I can’t listen to English speaking radio stations here in Ireland…..it just grates me, like rubbing polystyrene together. But I can and do listen to the Gaelic language station, don’t understand a word of it but for some reason it fits with the landscape. Anyway, had a lovely late evening drive last night along the lanes (it’s all lanes ! Lol ) as the sun was setting after a beautiful day and was listening to this type of stuff, which I do fairly often.
  22. Winkhounds Wheaton x was like that, I wouldn’t say really big but a lump of a dog…..really nice quiet, well behaved animal in its kennel and around people etc and then a switch just flicked when it went to it’s work…..it used to leather gear mate. Mik rated it as much as to try and take a line out of it to his bitch but it didn’t work unfortunately.
  23. Didn’t know the bloke or the dog, only seen them in the book mate. Looked a fair old lump of an animal
  24. Tigger didn’t have much bull (if any?) in there I don’t think mate, he was off Miks deerhound Sal and I think a lad who used to be on here from the north easts dog. I think it was just a mixture all the way back of massively tested worker to massively tested worker and he ended up with this absolute machine of a dog.
