There you go, how do you “educate” a grown adult, obviously with an amount of academic qualifications, out of a mindset like that ?…….this type of thinking is I would think more common than we care to believe in modern Britain. You can’t fix the prison system until you fix the culture you will be releasing people back into. jmho

I think our reoffending rate is one of the worst in Europe. The Nordic country’s have a way better outcome and their system is totally different. Maybe it’s the system, maybe it’s cultural ? I personally think we have to conclude it’s cultural in the U.K., they have thrown so much money at communities more pre disposed to crime and it has only got worse…..it’s just a culture of debauched behaviour and zero care about anything…..it’s literally the 3rd world and the gin alleys of the 18th century all rolled into one. There is no “context” in so called “hate crime”…….that was a ruling by a judge in the case when they fined that YouTube bloke years ago for getting his dog to do hitler salutes !! So, in law, context don’t matter according to the government……a very handy thing for them Im sure -
That would be completely standard now days mate, they play all young players in 2 or 3 positions over the course of their academy life, it’s so they understand the game better. Rio Ferdinand was a mid fielder at academy level.

Did that not used to be called a constitution years ago?…..as in, some people just had a strong constitution and some had a weak constitution?? It’s perfectly natural that some animals are just naturally more inclined to be done in by things others are not, obviously if you are downing a bottle of scotch and 40 fags while living on a diet of kebabs then of course you are stacking the odds but some animals are just built to last…….natural selection.

Shame, coaching has moved on in lots of ways (not always for the better imho in some ways) but at proper clubs the coaches are much more thoughtful now days.

Nah, it’s impressive mate, don’t knock that achievement…..every kid in the world wants to be there so to actually be there is top class. Nice that you’re humble about it but don’t make it less than what it is, that’s tidy.

To be fair, if that’s a sending off under the slow motion eye of VAR then they both should have gone, if anything the Soton player dipped his head in first ! But we are discussing utter minge stuff, it’s never a sending off in big boys world but that’s where the game is at. Happy with what I seen in the limited match of the day way with my little hammers. Plenty of positives, playing a lot higher and more positive. A few that obviously won’t make the grade under this different style….Antonio, Soucek….can’t see them lasting. A decent lesson for a few of the new signings

I’ll bet anything that lad has run mid late 11s, and doing it fairly regular….that one recorded performance won’t be his best performance, it will be his best event performance.

I think the fastest schoolboy in the world is a shade sub 10…..could be wrong. As for age, it’s more about development than age. It just occurred to me that some of you lads are not grasping how big 1 second is in elite sprinting ?……it’s the difference between 200 meters and a marathon lads.

It’s one thing to be the fast kid at school, it’s another to be coached or learn correct sprinting posture, do all the right exercises to promote that posture, stride, start…….it’s like anything mate, a few tools make all the difference.

Lads google what you like, world record schoolboys is in the low 10s, anyone considered “fast” will be doing mid to late 11s, it’s completely ordinary for proper sprinters, less than that and you are a solid 6/7/8 place in every race…..believe it, dont believe it, up to you.

I was a 100m schoolboy runner, 10 to about 13 I was solid 11s consistently…..don’t know times after that because I gave up but I felt quicker at 20 to 27, maybe it just felt that way relative to the players around me on a football pitch.
