I love stuff like that, just watched it all….brilliant mate. Was watching a thing the other day about how all the old great estates were self sufficient eco-systems in themselves (don’t tell Jukel ! lol ) So, each estate had its own carpentry workshop, blacksmith, laundry, kitchens, farm, watermen, pottery in some cases…..it provided everything from within its own system like food, furniture, metal goods, livestock, timber and if one went boss eyed it didn’t knock all the other estates down because each was independant from the next……and so the nation kept going. It was a system

I think there are two types of decent films, those that just tell you a good story and those that make you think….both done well I like. That film “the Field” is a thinkers movie because there is so much going on, so much cause and effect. Then you have a good story like “Serpico”, just a good interesting tale. I have many, many favourites that fit into those category’s and I can watch them over and over again.

It would from lads like us I’m guessing……come to think of it, did you ever watch any of the series Yellowstone ? That was exactly the premise mate, outsiders wanting to come in and change everything and destroy a way of life…..decent mate. I think it’s gets done on telly in different ways every so often, I like stuff like that as a rule.

Don’t know about anyone else, but I watch quite a lot of Nordic drama….so series from places like Finland, Sweden, Norway. They are in the main really, really good….better in fact than a lot British & American stuff

Ahh, I treat people how I want to be treated, respect another man’s country, and tell those who want to act the c**t anyway to go f**k themselves…..small town Napoleons mate, you get them everywhere in the world and to a man, and I’ve come across them plenty of times, they are all pricks and pricks all get the same treatment! Decent film by the way with a great cast…..there just don’t seem to be the same calibre of actors about these days ?

Funny enough, I can watch almost anything Oldman but I tried to watch that and couldn’t…..can’t remember why I didn’t like it now ?…….

Watched a decent thing called “Task”….. Films, well, they just don’t make decent films anymore….they are all total f***ing shit ! Sat and watched Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with Gary Oldman again the other day….its a gem in a sea of shit over the last decade or so. I mostly rewatch old films because they don’t make decent stuff now, it’s all AI computer generated or “poor black man/hero black man” absolute junk.

Again, I’ve not watched so I couldn’t even begin to guess at why that may be the case…maybe his manager gets him to play like that ? Declan Rice did nothing but fight fires in Moyes system but has been free to do much more since joining Arsenal….maybe the way England play suits him better and allows him to show the best of himself ?, maybe UCL opponents wouldn’t be as used to him so he gets 5 or 10 more yards of space and freedom ? I genuinely don’t know but I don’t think players at his level can’t be bothered and pick and choose where they want to perform ?

Not really watched him to make a study but if what you describe is true then that’s exactly how you want a player imho. Humble off the pitch, good trainers, grafters, on time, full of encouragement to other lads, pushing other lads by example……then on the pitch an attitude that says “I’m the master of my opposite number, I’ll do what I want when I want because you can’t stop me” Thats exactly how a player should be, again jmho……you want smart players, players who do the right things in the right moments like for instance knowing when to just do a simple 5 yard bounce and move again

I once heard a woman say she was going to vote for a local councillor, who was a senior bloke in a council that had overseen the absolute destruction of the area, because he had once helped find her cat !!…..I f***ing kid you not ! I absolutely agree with that, 100%……and maybe decades ago we had the excuse of not knowing, we don’t have that excuse any more mate. I agree, but as I said a while back, there’s nothing forcing us to keep voting for these people and mandating them.
