What utter shite, keepers are like anyone else...........some are tools and some are great lads, good hunting lads who do more than most will ever dream of. The thing they all have in common is that they have a job to do and the pressure is really on them to produce good results from now until the end of the season..........there job and the future of the shoot depends on it. So take time to find out what you are talking about before posting nonsense like this.........if that is the response you are getting round there, chances are they have been driven mad with hassle.

IMHO, This thread should be deleted.........fair enough, if you see someone who is obviously at it then call them out on that paticular thread, but to sling accusations about is just plain wrong. All this will end up as is a big f*****g mess..........

I think in this case the dog is still young enough to learn better habits, but in older dogs I agree, its very hard to put right.

Its just a young dog thing imho........it thinks it can find more than you can show it. Keep showing it stuff on the lamp, make sure the runs are as easy as you can make them, dont be giving it silly impossible slips............pick and chose, if you dont get the right slip then dont slip at all, just go home. Its just my very uneducated opinion, but the dog needs to learn that it only "wins" with you, so keep the stuff easy while he is young........a young dog is just that, young! Thats my 2 penneth, others will know much better than me.

Harry is a top lad and its good that he is adding his face to a programme like this........anything that keeps our soldiers in the public eye and the financial support for forces charities rolling in can only be a good thing........missed it myself as I am just back in with the dog, but as I said, good luck to him. There in lies a warning to all potential buyers of Free Spirit, I beleive these are like many other rods, Jap imports.........so basically, they are just like any other mass production rod but with a massive price tag to fool any potential buyers into thinking they are getting a real quality, handmade type product. My advice to anyone thinking of spending this type of money on rods is to always go for Century, Harrison or Simpsons of Turnford........I bet you would have got much better service from thew above companies as they make the rods and have the parts in England.
