As always, good reply Skycat but I think its a polite way of saying "your f****d".........when I asked the op the breeding of the dog I pretty much knew before he replied to me that it would have beddy in there.......its a trait and theres not much you can do about genetics. If he works places that it dont matter then its no problem........

Improving here, wind is getting stronger, some cloud starting to creep in.......a little rain will be the cherry as this warm breeze will strip the moisture off the ground in no time. If we get a good deluge around 7-8pm then tailing off around 9 ..........well, it dont get much better.

Very true, i would just doubt that many dogs, after performing well for say 4 seasons, would suddenly 'become' shit one night, on rabbits? After 4 seasons and on rabbits if the dog had been doing well, you would deffo look for other causes to a dog underperforming, thats a no brainer imho, but if there are no other causes then it may just have chucked in the towel.....it happens.

Its possible to sicken any living thing if you dont use your head, but some dogs are shit.......end of story.

Personally I think he saw the thread and then went out to graft his dog as much as he could........nothing wrong with that.

And in some places, that would be exactly the right thing to do because you would break a dog on certain land with that amount, but if they were there to be caught then I say, make hay while the sun shines.......historically speaking of course.

Very true, it was like daylight at midnight and stuff was very thin on the ground........dont know what it was like where this lad was, but it was very hard going local to me. Yep,had a look myself Wilf and my mutt worked it's socks off to catch 25 bunnies last night,it wasn't too bad to be honest where i was,pretty light but we had a bit of drizzle and a good wind blowing but further South conditions weren't as good? There must be some easy pleased lurcher owners on THL because if anyone catches a decent haul of whatever it's always "why,what's the point,no need" and such like..it's th

How old is this dog?.......if its a young dog then in my mind, there are no "rules"............if its an adult dog, you still cant knock the bloke for going out and putting that amount of graft in front of the dog. And I am sure that if he is willing to work the dog hard (as it seems he is) then he would have little problem trying it daytime as well, we all know that you wont catch as many but its not about that is it?.......its about finding as much work for your dog as you can throw at it. Obviously, this was just a shooting trip so its all in theory anyway
