I have seen a decline in numbers and also the general health of Foxes is not what it once was........lots of weedy and mange ridden specimens about now. Now this is no slur on lads that use rifles, but it is hard to see what condition a fox is in from 100 + yards, at night through a scope. I was talking to a lad last week who had shot over 30 in the 10 days previous and he had no intention of stopping there. Hunting with dogs was able to be more selective when it was legal. But hey, the goverment and anti hunting groups know best! -

So just to be clear, are we talking about dog training or a dog that can catch quarry on a regular basis and has that certain something to make bonus catches when some dogs maybe would not? You can train any mutt to do tricks (it may take time depending on the mutt), but you cant train any mutt to have the right mind to be up there with the very best catch dogs.........dogs that will kill quarry consistantly on all types of ground. And by the way, I dont know what makes a good dog, I know what makes ME happy, or rather I know what DONT!!........but if I knew the secret something that m

Don't give them the choice John. They'll eat kidneys etc if they know that's all on offer. I had a fussy bull terrier once...he didn't stay too fussy for long.

I will start to up my smoking now in preperation for the long car journeys.....20 a day, then 30 eventually peaking at around the 40 mark I also start on the kebabs......small doner, then large, then mixed with chips.......motorway burgers, crisps and cans of pop come when I am fully up to speed. I throw buckets of water over myself and stand outside all night....... I also take my lamp to bits then drive to the other end of the country and pratice putting it back together in a muddy field in the pitch black I jump into the back of pick up truck and practice throwing myself aro
