I feed them the same as I feed the adults, a couple of pounds of flesh and then anything and everything mixed in.........veg, rice, fish, eggs, biscuit, when its colder some melted lard poured over. I dont worry about how much they get either, just let them eat as much as they want.

I pretty much agree about the fact that folk should think on how they are going to manage dogs and kids, but the bottom line is, between dogs and kids.....kids win! What I cant get my head round is all this "I have to put it up for sale"?...........no you dont, you have to re-home it.....totally different! What happens if no one buys it?.......does it stay or what? Thats what I find utter nonsense!

I didnt read Socks post as "having a pop" at salukis, I like and keep saluki types but I agree with him that a well trained collie type would, in the right hands, make for a better ferreting dog. And he is bang on that they can drive you nuts sometimes when they have "a moment"!!

Be nice to see the CA back him up all the same with a high profile media campaign to show hunting in a positive light, tell the public the facts about how many animals are now shot because there is no longer any revenue in allowing them to be hunted. Be nice to present the facts on Hares and how many have been shot off estates which would previously have entertained organised coursing and earned some revenue from those taking part. Tell the public about how certain species were preserved for hunting but are now slaughtered on mass. The CA are much too low profile and are too narrow
