Ah, the good old "my killings better than your killing" thing.......outside of a warzone I would wholeheartedly agree that the act was that of an animal. I dont have a problem with the mass bombing of German cities in the war or the bombing of Hiroshima or Nagasaki but lets not pretend that burning human beings to death with radiation or phospher fire bombs is a better way of killing on mass.

If your not going to back up your own lads by at least letting them have a trial on their home turf then dont send them to war!

The United states marine corp alone numbers some 200,000 active personell.........the whole british army is below 150,000 (almost classed as a malitia!!!) Considering the United States whole armed forces is around 1.5 million personell, I dont think you can exactly say that the US military has a problem with rouge troops!! I wonder how many civillians out of 1.5 million are commiting really bad crimes?

Here is a curve ball for you all........with that one act of brutality, that soldier may just have saved a lot of British and American troops lives if it forces an early withdrawl, so I have to ask, with this in mind should he be put on trial at all? After all, we wiped out Dresden in the war and Hiroshima in order to prevent more slaughter and that was seen as the right thing to do...........makes you think dont it?

I get you mate, but just because one person is able to demonstrate common sense and self control don't mean everyone will, you have to legislate for complete morons not those with a brain and that's why all this legalisation of everything is a bad idea.....because most people are morons and would think it the height of cleverness to hang around in the street getting piped, shooting up or smoking weed.......same as all the benders want to march through the streets every year dressed in all their bondage gear. I wouldn't touch anything now, simply because drugs aren't my cup of tea. But if I wanted to, who the f**k is anyone to tell me what I can and can't put in my body???? Let's have this right, anyone who knows people who have been using weed for years knows that after a while they can't function without it. It totally alters your personality until after years your real personality is just a forgotten memory.
