Dogs can see a lot better than us, I always trust the dog...........if it gives a good pull on the slip in the dark, I just let him go and switch the lamp on after..........caught a lot of stuff like that Work with your dog, they know a lot more than we do

I mean exactly that, bitches can go a bit nutty and be a different dog around the time of their seasons (heat)........like most women really! Is this the only time the dog has done it?...........if it is, I would put it down to her being in season and forget it. See how she carries on over the next few months

A bitch around the time of its season can go totally radio, leave it off for a few days.........just run her on the field she will run on for a good while then try again...........if its still happening, then you may have just wasted 18 months of your life, shit I know, but it happens.

Face facts, nobody can seriously post about hunting in a serious fashion with dogs (which of course nobody does anymore), other than on rabbits.........so you see people like TOMO has popular threads when he visits the dales, but that is about it as far as hunting posts go dog wise. The historical and experienced opinions of some members are very good to read indeed. If any changes were made at all, I would like to see some of the shooting, lurchers, terriers and trapping sections all lumped under a general title of hunting so that there was a better mixture of interest and not so obvi

my bull collie grey dun this the other night my beddy cross was on the hot end and my bull cross just stud bk and sniffed bwt she is only 8 months old but my beddy cross was tackling them at this age so she has got on more chance then she getting some lead Winkhound, have you got another user name again!!?

I am sure plenty of you have seen Hares, Fox and Deer run into an alarm call from rabbits or other hares or young deer......as we all know, Owls will absolutely bomb in to a squeak...........the fox taking the rabbit off the dog is a new one on me, but I dont doubt it as strange things happen.
