    jack russells are not a recognised breed by the uk kennel club so therefore they are not pedigree, where as the parson russell is recognised by the kennel club and those parson russel terriers that are registered within the kennel club and that have kc papers are pedigree animals. You would not get a pocket parson dog though as they are a lot leggier than the jack russel terrier which varies greatly. hope this helps.

    recently i've seen an advert in a paper for some springer cross lurcher pups. the lurcher was 1/8th collie, 1/8th whippet, 3/4 grey and this had been crossed with a springer. does anybody think these would be anygood for ferreting and a bit of lamping, and do you think that they could double up as a gun dog as well? has anybody had got a dog of this breeding and any opinions greatly accepted. i thought they sounded like a good allround hunting dog but not entirely sure.

    we had some bf goodrich mud terrains on our old landrover before we got a new one and you could go near enough anywhere.

    A grey squirrel with my grand dad's baikal, 12 bore over and under shotgun.

    I got my first dog when i was 15 but i wanted one for years before. he is a Jack Russell Terrier and he is a keen ratter and he can only catch young rabbits. he is a bit slow for fully grown ones. he is also good for setting rabbits as well and he is a great companion when out with the airgun.
