  4. It might be a daft question, but i was just thinking if anybody has or has seen or heard of a straight bedlington cross saluki. i know that saluki greyhounds and beddy greyounds are popular breeds and the crosses of these are proven good dogs, but i was just wondering if any body knows of a straight saluki cross bedlington? thanks will_rob
  5. whats the breeding of the collie dog? is it a pure bred collie or a grey cross?
  6. sick of this bloody snow, want to go lampin, and so does the dog!

  7. nice looking dog you got there will_rob what size is she? im not sure really cos she will never stand still properly when i try to measure her but she is roughly around the 16 tts mark.
  8. I was just wondering if anybody else was working a terrier blooded lurcher on here. i have a 6 month old border/ patterdale cross whippet and she is coming along great. She is just starting to pick the odd rabbit up here and there while out walking her. Put some pictures up as well! This is a picture of Roxy at about 4 1/2 month old. i will try and get a new one of her put up.
  9. hope this helps, the cock grouse has visible red combs on its head.
  10. been grouse beating since the 12th for 2 weeks i took holiday off work and every Saturday since. then once the grouse is over it will be the start of the pheasants!!
  11. Border terrier/ lakeland terrier cross whippet. Shes only four months old and looking very promising, but given time i hope she turns out to be a good little rabbiter.
  12. so far this season, ive been beating 7 days and earned £360!! 2 of the days were 7 oclock starts so we got £ on those days!
  13. well its the 12th on thursday, for many of us means that it is the start of the grouse shooting season which means a time to earn some pocket money, see some friends and most of all have some fun. So is anybody else going this year and if so where?
  14. im pretty sure any of the terrier breeds (russell, lakey, patterdale, border etc.) would be as good as each other at bushing and ratting. its all instinct to a terrier and how you bring them up plays a very large part as well.
  15. I will try and put a picture up of my whippet cross border/lakeland pup up. Lets see some of your terrier crosses.
  16. there is a lot of variation in the sizes of border collies that you can get. if i were you i would go for one of the more racey types like my dad has. i would say he is as fast as a whippet but we have never tried him on rabbits.
  17. looks a corker of a pup that mate. hope mine turns out into an animal like that.
  18. as i said, the pictures arnt very good and i agree with you she does look a bit thin in the pictures but she is not in real life lol  !! she is wormed to date.
  19. well yesterday i bought my first ever lurcher pup from a bloke from crook. you could say that she is a whirrier because she is quarter border terrier, quarter lakeland terrier and half whippet. Has anybody else had a little rabbiting lurcher of this breeding? i intend to train her for daytime rabbiting, bushing, ferreting and the odd bit of ratting. Father was a k.c working whippet 19 inches to the shoulder, and the mother was a 16 inch border /lakeland terrier cross. she definitely looks as though she is going to be a racey type and she is on the go all of the time. here are some pics of her
  20. bought one of these pups and they are cracking pups. highly recommended.
  21. just been getting the kennel ready for my new pup im getting this afternoon!!
