    Birr Castle Game Fair 2016 Birr Castle is a large Castle in the town of Birr, Co Offaly, and situated amid the rich pastures of the deep South of Ireland. This beautiful Castle is one of Ireland’s “Green Jewels “ and houses award-winning gardens, Great Telescope, and Ireland’s largest Treehouse. Presentally the Castle is the seat of the seventh Earl of Rosse . The family still lives in the castle to this day. This was the venue last weekend for the annual Irish Game & Country Fair.     Pluck and Smurf Charity Dog Show and Race Day at Burndennet Cricket Club, Strabane, Co Tyrone Sunday 21st August 16. As we approached the bridge at Strabane, and took the turn for Burndennet Cricket Club, I think Pluck and Smurf were busy up above getting the weather adjusted to suit their very special Memorial Show and Race day. All the way down the motorway it was raining heavy, but once we reached the cricket club the rain had stopped and did not start again to the end of the show.     Donnells Working Dog Show and Race Day Sunday 14th August 16. Larne is a seaport and industrial market town, on the east coast of County Antrim. It has been used as a seaport for over 1,000 years, and is today a major passenger and freight roll on- roll off port.     Tully Castle Dog Show. We looked forward to Tully Castle Dog Show all year, and finally the day arrived last Saturday the 13th August. We set out fine and early with trailer and dogs in tow, and arrived at the Castle at approx. 11.00am. As usual, we were first there with the exception of the organisers and stand holders for the day. I never grow tired of the scenic views and history that surrounds this little piece of heaven, tucked away in the County Fermanagh Country side.
