  1. What I do is put the collar in a vice not to tight then cut just inside of the collar both sides down to the collar pull out the bit of plastic and the collar shuold come out mix up some arldite and put on the locator where the collar was then seat the new collar into that in the right position then fill in the rest of the locator with the rest of the arldite then smooth the arldite with a wet finger I use a nylon collar when I renew. I hope this helps

If you click on search topic at the bottom of the page and put in "old type ferrets" you should get up the topic I started look down there and see the pictures of Brimmers ferrets I think that is as close as you can get to a greyhound ferret or thats how I remember them. What does Romany 52 think, pokey and I am still after a couple of jill kits if anyone has any

  6. Ho Ho Magwitch good looking ferret, Tomo the only reason I like whites now is after 56 summers the old eyes are going and I can't see polecats that well. pokey

  9. Thats right Para 1 the ones we had were quite long and thin easily go through the net but we never had collars then. I did not mention "greyhound" before as I read this before on here and they are not what I am on about. The ones in the pictures look good ferrets but not like the ones we had pokey

A few years ago when I was a youth [ about the time England won the world cup ] nearly all the ferrets around my area were whites quite long and thin with an arched back and it seemed to be a long way from their front legs to their nose which was long and snipy not like the ones I have now small and short coupled with a round face they work very well but I would like to get some of the old type ones if any one breeds them like that any more. If any one does breed them like this and has a couple spare please get in touch . pokey

  12. Thanks for all the idea's lads I thought steezy was winding me up with caukasian owtscharkin and turkish kangal until david 2363 sent pictures big dogs or is that bloke standing in a hole with dogs like that I would have to go on the nick for cows to feed them thanks again pokey

One day last week a bloke came around and asked to buy my boy's car dressed in flat cap and tweed jacket sunday evening about 5.30 the dogs where barking [ two bedlingtons and a whippet ] my wife turned on the outside light and there at the gate not 10 yds from the house two guys one in a flat cap and tweed jacket they turned and run off when she looked out of the window and a blue transit type van roared off up the road RIGHT how do I catch them or deal with them when they come back I live in the guildford area

  15. Pups 7 weeks old sunday dog rillington bred now only used in beating line and flushing a few rabbits the bitch works beating, picking up and wildfowling. We are in the SE PM me for details

  17. Hi kaney IanB must hate me he keeps chucking me off mind you it could be that I have only posted about three things in about 18 months so I don't blame him but as I said I am on here 5 out of 7 nights plus the other hunting sites well that's it for another 6 months. good hunting pokey

Hi all I think this is the 3rd time I have done this I have two bedlingtons and a whippet and a few ferrets I live in the SE get on this site five out of seven nights a week never write much but read a lot. I am intrested in the lost breed of the greyhound ferret but who wants to write when all you get is crap replies back good hunting pokey
