Lucas is horrendous mate a season or two ago i would have agreed with you but imo he has improved alot over the last year, one of the reasons why i think lucas isnt popular because before he came to us he was a hot prospect in the brazilian league and he failed to live up to the high expectations. yes hes not a match winner and he cant beat several players with the ball but he does a good job of winning the ball back an giving it simple to players around him (meriles, Gerrard etc) and always gives 100% which cant be said for most of the team

i agree with most of those pegleg except lucas who i wouldnt say is shit but what you have realise that alot of those wernt his first choice eg he wanted villa but got keane he wanted silva but got riera beacuse the yanks wouldnt back and he also had to sell to buy therefore weakening the squad to buy improvements instead of adding strength in depth

and btw i dont think we should bring rafa back but i think he gets a lot of undeserved criticism considering he got us No. 5 an FA Cup made us a conistent top 4 team, got us closest to the title in years, one of the most feared clubs in the champions league infact we wer ranked by uefa as number 1 in europe for a good few seasons

you have only listed his bad signings i could do a list with fergys bad signings does'nt mean hes a shit manager, what about the brilliant players he bought and helped tunred into top class players (Gerrard, Carragher, Hyypia Reina = World Class Torres = World Class Alonso = Worl Class Mascherano = Quality i would say aquilani is quality based on his performances this season for juventus and the glimpes of class he shown at the back end of last season then theres players like Johnson Agger Skrtel Sissoko Benayoun all are established premiership players
