Hi Folks, I own a lovely little Sako Finnfire Hunter in .22lr calibre, I have had a Parker Hale silencer on it for a few years now, I want to buy a new moderator, something a little more compact that will reduce the sound report from the muzzle better than the Parker Hale. Any advise would be appreciated on what type I should purchase. Cheers Nessie

Do you think she'll come into heat again this year then? I was thinking of bringing the hob back for a while to see if it would bring her on, does this method work though?

I never noticed any blood under her tail...She seemed to put on a little weight a few weeks into the "pregnancy". But never really got any bigger after that. If anything shes lost a little weight now. Cheers Nessie

Thanks Kay I put the hob in with her 2 weeks after I noticed her coming into season, I left him in with her for 6 days then removed him, she should have given birth around April 2nd. But nothing has happened. Cheers Nessie

Hi, My little year old poley jill came in2 season quite early (mid February to be precise). She is a great little worker, easily handled & seems to be able2 bolt rabbits better than any ferret iv ever seen, so I decided to breed her, I had planned to keep one for myself, and would give the rest to shooting friends & also give one to my mate whose poley hob I used to mate her with. Well I bred her 2 weeks after I first noticed the swelling at the end of Feb, I left the hob with her for about 6 days as they seemed to get on ok. By the way the hob is about 7 years old now, but he

I decided to take the gun this time and along with a friend we shot 13...I only have the one Jill, she worked well and gave us a good days sport with a lot of nice healthy bolting rabbits. Cheers Nessie

I waited 2 weeks from when I first noticed the swelling before I got her mated...The swelling is mostly down now, maybe still slightly swollen.

Hi. My young Jill came into season a few weeks back, I got a lend of a friends Hob & left them to it for a few days. This is my first time breeding Ferrets, what I am trying to find out is if theres anyway to determine if my Jill is pregnant? She was mated 3 weeks ago...I have noticed her pulling the fur off the rabbits I've been feeding her & she has started to eat the rabbits eyes which I dont remember her doing before she came into heat, over the past week I have noticed the swelling to her vulva getting less noticable, are these signs that a litter of Kitts can be expected in a

Yes, Mick does make a quality Net Mick has just made me 40 4' Nets on heavy 1" 1/4 Rings and 10 5' Poke Nets on Sliders Did the purse nets that Mick Dadd made for you have sliders on them, he made me 10 poke nets with sliders and also made me 20 purse nets, he put a slider on them as well, never seen them on a purse net before but I think Mick says they purse better and he normally uses them on purse nets as well. The 10 Poke Nets have a slider on both ends. The standard Purse Nets have a heavy 1 1/4 inch Ring on both ends. He sent me a sample of a Net with a slider on one

Problems with Deben Mk3 magnetic ferret finder
nessie122 replied to nessie122's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Stubby, I have tried new batteries but they made no difference, I usually fix the collar to the top of the neck, but it often slips to the side or underneath. -
Hi, I have used a Mk3 ferret finder for the past season, it originally came with one of the older non-magnetic collars that clipped together in two parts. This worked pretty well & I had very little trouble in locating my ferret. I lost this collar & bought one of the new magnetic collars. This has been nothing but trouble. If I set the collar on the ground before I go out ferreting it usually works OK. But once I put the ferret underground it starts to mess about. It will sometimes bleep and at other times it wont. Also the distance reading goes crazy, the reading jumps about all
