  1. Look guys i didnt meant to start argument here. The woman who asked me lives on the estate i work on so she knows me, and knows i do the rabbits on the estate so she asked if i could do here moles and how much it would cost, i said i didnt have traps so she said find out the going rate and a will pay you for it ,so ive invested in some traps to have a go. As for training im in talks with elmwood college near me who do a vermin control course which im going to take. Ive been talking to TWO PROFESIONAL PEST CONTROLLERS who im friends with and get my ferrets from and there taking me out to show

  5. Ive heard it is a good course bud and a think u get to go up the highlands and see keepering up there which would be great. Only thing i would say though is have u got any work experience with a keeper or do u know any, because i think its quite hard to get a gamekeepers job around here.   8. Hi guys, i had to take my 12week old sringer pup to the vets yesterday as his eyes were red and quite swollen. Vet said it was eye infection and gave me some cream and tablets for him. BUT, today his eyes have cleared up good but his right eye has a wee blue haze over it so im pretty worried. Has anybody ever experienced this before. Thanks. P.S. Hes got the vets again tonight as i just phoned. Billy

  11. Theres no nettles or brambles just on a short grass slope, nets would be easy to set. Spoke to estate manager the day he said i can use my air rifle and snares so i will still take a trip up at weekend. Billy

  14. Wel guys, ive been working at a new job as an estate worker now for the past month. Been doing a bit conservation work planting hedges and that at the moment. Anyways, the estate manager was speaking to me today about how the rabbits are digging and nibbling at the freshly planted plantsand how pi***d off he is, so a dropped into the conversation that i have ferrets and i didnt even get a chance to say i would ferret, he just said ANYTIME YOU WANT. So im going up this weekend but just wondering if theres any tips you have for me about doing it at this time of year. Thanks atb Billy
  15. Ive got a 2004 d22 just done 63000 ive had it for 2 year and not had no problems. A give an oil and filter change every 4 to 5000 miles. Quite good off road to, ive never been stuck yet. ATB Billy
  16. Only found out because i was toeing the trailer for the estate i work on and my mate said. Aw well looks like a will have to give the c**ts more money for the test.
  17. Hi guys, just found out you have to sit a test to toe a trailer if the combined weight of vehicle and trailer is more than 3.5ton. Never new anything about it untill the day. Can anyone fill me in on this. thanks Billy

  19. Always best to keep them in pairs mate, they like company. Is your hob castrated, if so get a jill. If you want another hob but dont intend to breed, i would just get them both castrated that way u wont get them fighting and riding each other.Prob cheaper getting a jill though and just getting the 1 male castrated if hes not.   22. Cheers bud. Yeh ive got a crate. He wasnt to bad last night, got up 3 times. 11:30pm then 12:30am then 2:00am i sat up with him for an hour, he just wanted to cuddle in. That was him till half 6 when i got. he will get there in the end. atb billy

  24. Put an old jumper on and keep handling the pup even letting him fall asleep on you then put the jumper in his bed it might work all pups cry went brought into new surroundings. Cheers mate, Ave got a few dvds and books just thought that someone might have a tryed and tested sucsfull tip but as u said new pup in new surroundings. A will put a radio on for him tonight see how he goes.billy
