    Just wondering if there's any old anes on here who used to tan and sell fox pelts ect. After reading this weeks countrymans weekly, there was a article from The Warrener and his midget pal Ron and a photo of them outside there tanning shed years ago, it was a cracking pic and a good bit reading. So got me thinking how long did it take to tan a pelt, what was the best method of tanning, and how much did you get for pelts ect would love to hear some story's. If you have any old photos ect please post. Thanks Billy

    Cheers guys, they've got full adult teeth and tackled a single fair sized rat which bit back and it didn't stop them making the kill. Will take them out and see how they go. Thanks for info cheers

    Right gents, what age do you guys start your young terriers working. Fox I would say leave till body has fully devolved maybe 14mnths onward, but what about rats. My 6mnth JRT destroyed a rat from under my chicken coop the other day there, so thought about taking them ratting this weekend for the first time. This will be my first time aswel so if you can give some advice great. Bill

    Both dogs. The wee buggers lifted a rat from under my chicken coop this morning and nailed it, first rat they've saw and they new exactly what to do. So the misses is starting to realise that they could come in handy, so going to hold onto them the now. Thanks for the interest though. Cheers

    2 jack Russell pups for sale, one pure white called cub and one white with brown patch on eye called fox. Cracking wee pups from working stock, had all there jags ect. £80each or £120 for the two. I'm in fife and your more than welcome to visit. Thanks

    Because it comes in bloody handy ! Well was walking through 1 of my woods this morning to check on the pheasant pen, when a saw 3 crows sitting on a dead elm, 1shot 2 then 3 all crows dropped , was a parent and 2 young. After the shots a heard something running through the ferns, out popped a fox in an opening , first shot missed second shot nailed it, but needed a third to finish the job, so 6 shots fired. Couldn't have done that with my over n under.

    Just skinned,Cut the skull and cleaned as much as I could, boiled for 20 mins and scraped rest of flesh and that of then bleached with hydrogen peroxide. Maybe not the best way but it works for me. Thanks.

    Well was out this morning with my ne benelli m2 8 shot this morning. There were some pigeons feeding on some late sown spring rape. Ended up with 19 in the bag and 3 not picked, all shot over decoys. Very happy with the gun it's a cracking piece of kit.

    Right lads im swapping calibers on FAC so needing to sell my .222. Its an Rws 89 its threaded for moderator and still in VGC, i Got it last year and fired about 200 rounds through it. Face to face sale and must show fac. In fife, scotland. £325 ono. Thanks
