  1. I laid 5 down in the summer, in an area with plenty of foxes. Not had one at home yet. I'm sure I did it all ok, put a bend in, south facing entrance etc. Do they have to "weather" in before charlie is happy with them.
  2. Best post I've read on here for a long, long time. And the moral of the excellently told tale is... well, actually, there is more than one. How about patience to start off with, then maybe loyalty, perseverance, trust, and faith. Good luck to you and Dave. With a name like that, you've just gotta love him.
  3. And very appropriate to whats happening in our house at the moment with our mouthy 17 year old. All he seems to do is eat (everything in sight) and lie on/in bed and grow. My wife suggested the Army may do him good, but he would have to move around and even talk to fellow soldiers in there. This could be a problem as his sole means of communication is a series of grunts and sighs. The Taliban would have to wake him up before they shot him. Answers on a postcard .....................
  4. It is without question, a beautiful terrier. My only concern is that he looks like he's got more than his fair share of kc show type Lakie in his blood. ..........perhaps I'm wrong.
  5. True, Gore tex is light waterproof and breathable. The army wear Gore tex - can't see them in Barbour somehow.
  6. Good to see a Beddy doing more than warming it's arse by the fire. How did he do against the Russell type?
  7. Sorry mate, just me being a bit thick. I thought the inference intended was that the two Plummer types had taken the "big red rat" aka Fox.
  8. Nice clean pair of terriers there. ........
  9. Fook me, he's only been here two minutes (well two months really) and he's pushing for a moddies job. I reckon anyone who wants to be a mod that bad should automatically be banned from ever being one.
  10. A few years ago, I was looking for a Beddy pup ,criteria simple- had to be from proven working parents. I looked at maybe half a dozen Granitor litters, advertised as "working Bedlingtons, but was very dissapointed to find that the breeders idea of working and mine were poles apart. How anyone can advertise "working Bedlingtons" on the basis that they chase Rabbits is beyond me. I'm not saying that Granitors don't work, but I cnat see them being handier than a Rillington bred dog or even Gutchcommon or Rambo bred. ... A guy called Hunterscliff used to post on here, he had working Granito
  11. Great pics SJ. Murphy looks the business, and very similar to my own young dog.
  12. How was copper wire invented? ..... two Scotsmen fighting over a penny .
  13. I have no idea how old you are my friend - but I take it you are under 16? What you have just experienced is discrimination, pure and simple. Now I have no time for political correctness, but just this once, if I was you, I'd make a formal complaint against this teacher. He/She is paid to teach you, not to ram her/his political ideas and half baked social theories down your neck. To liken hunters or terrier men to drug addicts is scandalous. On Monday morning, demand an apology. AND MAKE IT A PUBLIC ONE. LET US KNOW HOW YOU GET ON.
  14. Enlighten us, who, what where when ?? in the ground or on top ? Behind the counter in Greggs
  15. Just seems that Kay has more "general talk" than hunting talk.
  16. Kay, is it just me , or do you have a compulsion to to post shit?? I was just trying to figure out what you were thinking about when you decided to open up a new thread on a hunting forum about washing "face aches" mobile phone>>>>???? 4619 posts now Kay, thats a whole lot of bullshit and "hello newbie" we didn't really need to read. It says under your avatar - extreme hunter - by dint of the sheer amount of crap that you tap out on your keyboard. Perhaps, "extreme poster" or attention junkie might be more appropriate.
  17. I live near Preston Snoops but I'm a visitor from Scotland, (been visiting 16 years now) Seriously though, I do quite a few footie bets every week , and generally do ok out of it. So I will have Arsenal 5-0 and a few other connotations (1st scorer etc) I will have a tenner on Burnley to win 1-0 as well, and a bet on the draw at 3/1.
  18. I get it now Snoop, Burnley get humped by PNE and Blackpool, so as to conserve energy for the Arsenal game. Realistically, 5-0 Arsenal looks like sense at 33/1 http://www.ladbrokes.com/lbr_portal
  19. When I was a kid, my Dad had a mate who owned a small holding, he kept a big white aggressive Billy Goat. I can still remember the tangy, musky, pungent smell he gave off, (and the Goat wasn't much better) To this day, even the smell of Goats cheese makes me want to heave.
  20. Don't know weather to laugh or cry at this one. http://www.paisleygazette.co.uk/article.ph...=1&id=18084
  21. Ditch, if its smooth and honeyed that tickles yer pickle, you will love a drop of Balvenie doublewood 12 year old. As if a a good single malt wasn't good enough, after a few years, they transfer it from the oak whisky barrels and put it into aged Spanish oak sherry casks. Mere words can't do it justice , so give it a try. http://www.balvenie.com/range/index.html
