Hello just wanted to say a there are actully some really nice people in the world and blackstaff is one of them. Altho ive only meet him once soo far hopfully not the last , he gave me some really good advice on trainning etc and told me what some of the lingo lurchermen use ( yes I must of seemed very green but I can only.apolagise for it lolz) his dogs are really nice and very well behaved all in all me and blaze had a great walk and even tho blaze couldnt work due to age etc it was really thrilling watching his dogs work and im hooked on rabbiting with lurchers

hi runforyourlife blaze is coming up 12weeks and he is a collie x bed whippet x grey x deerhound and atm the moment im restricted to where and how long i can take him (because hes only had his 1st injection and i play with him about a couple of hours aday in the communal garden).he meets loads of people as my friend is a youth worker and only lives down/works down the road soo atm hes being carried there.

hello all i feel abit stupid asking this but i think blaze has separation anxiety. basically on the 1st day i got him he walked around my flat crying alittle bit but would come n sit by my feet and go to sleep and ever since that day if i go out the room or leave him for like 5 seconds he would bark ,cry and even mess him self until i would get back now i didnt mollycoddle him i believe in firm but even and nice approach to dogs etc and im starting to get complaints from neighbours etc and its getting to the point where i have to ask my mate who lives locally to come over just while i go to t

hiya i posted on here showing my pup blaze hes doing really well but i have a problem im very green to lurchering and feel i am doing him no justice and was wondering if it was atall possible to come out with someone with out blaze to see how the game works and if it would be possible for like to someone to teach me the basics ive read books etc but theres nothing like the real thing if you follow me. ps im based in brighton ,sussex atb snakes

Hi I know you prob think Im being impatient but do you reckon it would do damage to the pup if I were to take him out for one or two easy runs when he is 6 months old

good evening everyone my training with blaze is coming on nicely his retrieve is get better day by day( yes i know its only been 3 days lol) his recall is getting better and to be honest i dont think he will need much traning on that side of things as he littrally follows me everywhere perden the pun but like a lost puppy lol but we will see when hes had his jabs and out with discrations. his stay is good but can do with abit of improvment (he will stay for about 3 minutes then come and follow me) and when ever he is by me he just lays down soo im in two minds wether to train to sit and he

hello im new to the world of lurchers and got my pup called blaze today from matt241075 hes abit of a mad pup running and just being a playful puppy im really looking forward to training and working him and him teaching me hes bred SIRE,colly/gray-deerhound/gray 25" DAM,colly/gray-beddlington/whippet 21" anyway im over the moon with him and heres a pick of him

hello im fairly new to the world of terriers (had a staffy but he sadly got put to sleep) and im in two minds wether to get another staff or a jack russell and was asking if some one could give me the pros and cons of both breeds in and out the field ps i didnt use my staff for hunting just as a pet really but he was in tip op condition anyways heres a pic of him sorry about the poor pic quality

hi i was just wondering how many of you use ferret finders me personally dont use one reason being is i find they make me impaitent soo ive trained them to come to the rattle of keys and soo far touch wood its worked everytime also i like to keep as much as i can to traditional methods ie no eletronic ferret finders lol

hi this is my skye shes roughly 3 n half weeks old , shes whippet x collie x greyhound 1st time i meet her shes was 1 week old and was quick on her toes then n even quicker now when i took the photo she was wigglying like a gooden lol i will be useing her mainly forlamping and ferreting

hi was out today and i took my jill (becuase shes quicker than my hob ) for a spot of rabbiting and she worked very well she bolted one and then didnt see her for about 15 minutes un till i called her back anway was good to be out in the fresh air. heres a pic of our catch

i was reading a topic a few pages back about ferret bags well i got a idea but am after your opinions on it any way heres a pic theres going to be two ,one each side(one for ferrets and one for nets) sown on my jacket and have a cord onit and them gold rings for air holes ps this is just a idea at the moment

hi as your prob going to tell im very green to lurchers and have got my self a whippet x collie x greyhound shes only a 2 weeks old soo i have 6 weeks to get ready for her . i have a few qestions i need answering 1.at what age can i give her a few little runs to the green rabbits of this year 2.what are the must kno commands 3.what age should i break her to ferrets and live stock and how do i go about doing this? atb snakes

hi im looking to get a lurcher some time in the near future maybe august time and i dont exactly know what type of lurcher would suit me soo if i explain could someone point me in the right direction i do alot of ferreting and would like to do some coursing aswell i would prefer a bitch and not too big soo if anyone could tell me what lurcher would suit me best would be great p.s it would be my first lurcher soo i would like something thats pretty easy to train and that would teach me aswell atb snakes

yes in max defence he did give me stuff and teach me alot but i went down to see him too get his side of the story(becuase i was going by one of the land owners told me)and i tried texting and tryed phoning him to get his side of the story but he didnt answer any of them hence why i was pissed off tbh

hi let me first start off with how this come about my nan had been ill for a while soo i went too look after her and left my ferrets in the good and capable hands of my neice too look after while i was away and ive got some permission just down the road from me and i kept them informed of whats happend. someone who i thought i could trust and also ferreted with has gone and told them i wont ever be returning to that permission :@ which i think you would agree with me is abit below the belt and im sorry i havent been posting on this bit of the forum for a while as stated before my nan has
