  1. Thanks everyone who replyed due to the responce I will reply personaly to each and every one over the next couple of days mark

I have a problem Ihave been asked to thin out some bunnies from a large paddock (about 2 1\2 acres) shot quite a few with the air gun with no affect when I passed the lamp across the other night around 40 or 50 glowing rabbit eyes looked back great ferreting oppertunaty the only problem is some toerag had it away with 200 nets and my mk 1 ferret finder as funds are tight I wont be able to replace these Would anyone in the scarborough area fance a few mornings fereting Ill suppy the ferrets and permission you supply the nets 50\50 on rabbits

O, well it looks like my dreams of being the only big game hunter in north yorkshire are buggered my [bIG cat turned out to be a big shaggy lurcher type dog we (I say we I was having a lag at the time) shot it last night no sign of anyone around but the dog had been seen a couple of miles down the valley a few nights ago Im not down hearted more relived that I did,nt meet the BIG cat Mark

Unfortunatly the knackerman came and cleared our dead shed this afternoon so no photos sorry but a rough discription the tup was a texal waighed around twenty stone his neck about 28" when found on the edge of a small wood lots of marsh grass which was well flattened and drag marks around10' long at the begining of the drag marks a fair amount of splash marks possibly blood besides the neck wound which extended right across the throught a large amount of flesh was missing including the epiglotus and around 2 to 3" of both the carotid artery and the vain two shallow scratch marks on the shoulde

Over the last couple of weeks we have been losing lambs to what we have taken to be dogs the attacks take place at night and by first light the body had been got at probably local brocks and foxes it has been hard to tell what spersific injury caused the death untill yesterday not a lamb this time a big full grown stroppy tup (who chases the sheep dogs if hes that way out) still warm with what looks like one large bite wound on his throught which has removed everything down to the cerable vertabray. It might be a bit far fetched but could this be a big cat? if so will I need somthing bigger th

  8. After a few years without a shotgun I am reaplying the last time I applied for a sgc was in the early 1970,s. I was wondering I will not be keeping any shotguns on my property so will I need to perchise a gun cabinet just so a box can be ticked ? or can I state the fact that I will not be keeping a gun on my property for the forseeable future but if or when I do I will informe the firearms licensing officer and perchise a gun cabinet thanks for any help Mark

Lucky me I,m going to Argeles for 3 weeks in 8 days I was wondering if anyone has done any shore fishing in the french med? and if so which type of bait is best or will spinning work I went a couple of years ago and fished the harbours for gray mullit with bread and gilt head bream with very expensive and small rag worm the bream were about as big as my little finger I hope someone can help I will be greatful for any advice thanks Mark

Thanks everyone for the advice the comments on lead help ive just been out and had a go at a few woodies and lo and behold I hit more than I missed and a lot of the misses Iwas overly aware of having enough lead once I relaxed and did the b-bum bit it started to come together thanks again now for the rabbits Mark

Does anyone have any advice after many years of rifle shooting (i,m not a bad shot sub 2" 3 shot grouping at 30 meters air rifle sub 2 1/2 inch at 100 with .22 rmf) but ill be buggered if I can hit the easyest of pheasants with a 12 bore I have managed to clean kill a few high fast ones and a left and right on a pair of mallard that I still cant belive I hit but the average every day bird or ground game as my 12 year old said after a days beating "well dad why dontyou shout bang and throw the bloody gun at them? thanks Mark
  12. Hi i,m mark a keen sportsman I rough shoot on the farm I work on Ihave two dogs one black lab (nice but dim) a border x patterdale (I don,t care how big, far away high up or even on telly I,ll have the B$%*&£ar*) 6 ferrets I an interest in all field sports Mark
