  1. You should be able to get a full PCP set up (gun, scope, bottle) for £500, certainly an S200 or 400/400k. They would certtainly be suitable for your needs.
  2. Sorry to hear that Martin. A mate of mine had a stroke at 15 (following a heavy night out - honestly). It takes a lot of work, but he got pretty much back to normal (normal is relative I suppose). The docs told him never to drink etc ever again, He never stopped & is now mid 30's. When he is drunk he does drag his left leg a bit though. Best wishes for your recovery.
  3. You'll struggle to get a PCP set up for that money Louis. There's an as new BSA Lightening XL with scope on the BBS for £195. A similar set up is over £300 new at BAR Or a Longbow with MTC scope at Blackpool Air Rifles Which look fair deals (depends if the Longbow is a Turk or not though I suppose). At 14 the Longbow may possibly be a bit big, but the Lightning would be fine. Good luck
  4. I was going to say, make sure you have a pellet loaded My mate took 3 attempts (cocked? safety on? safety off? etc) before he realised he hadn't loaded his ranger this morning By the time he realised the rabbit had wandered off
  5. Bite his arm off for £75. You can get a multi-shot conversion here
  6. + V-Mach = quiet, smooth springer Edit - prob. prosport out the box from 10 yards away the loudest part of my gun is the locking mechanism when you load it Don't doubt it hiho. I loved mine before I sent it away; they are cracking springers. But when it came back
  7. "Due to the sensitive nature of the waste, and the fact that it was a small amount" Eeewww Each to there own I suppose...
  8. with an air rifle That's just the thing. Surely If your going to shoot yourself with an air rifle and meant to kill yourself, why In the stomach Cry for help or attention gone wrong? sounds more like a cry for help gone wrong than an attempt to kill him self to me! A late reply to thos, but I would think this is likely. A sad situation whatever the upshot (pardon the pun)
  9. + V-Mach = quiet, smooth springer Edit - prob. prosport out the box

  14. Most definately - would love to have seen him "in action"
  15. There's some truth to what you say Al, but is it really that different to "What's the best dog for rabbits? or "Show us your bull cross"? In the main the posts are hunting related, although there are some general (and repeated) threads/questions as you say. Totally agree with the last paragraph though
  16. It was a bit of a shock when I heard through another forum. Glad it's back up, lets hope everything works out
  17. Good luck gaz & womb Another thing to consider is finding your range - it can be totally different in the dark. If you get the chance have a practice beforehand
  18. Nice bag mate i assume you run a tab with your butchers?
  19. My zero is 30, AO is 20; works for me. Do you have zero & AO the same?
  20. Never thought of that - good tip
  21. I have a 3-12x44 SWAT and a Legend 4-15x40 (and a Falcon 10x42). The Legend is a cracking scope, but I never move it off x6; haven't used the SWAT for ages, but always at x8 (I think ). I have used the Falcon for hunting, but it is a little bit high mag & the wobble is evident. (Everything at sub 12ft/lb)
  22. Well done Gaz As Deker said, that's a great return on 2 letters. At least you're sorted for a backstop if you miss the bunnies
