  1. thanks les ile keep you in mind, i went today with young un to same field but when i got there the farmer was summo'ing field so it wasnt safe to have another go at them, the young was gutted but ile have him out again when afew more fields come down, atb
  2. after rain stopped this aftie i decided to have acouple of hours with my young un, we didnt set up till around 2 and packed in at 6, the pigeons was hard to decoy with the field been a decent size and still that much for them to go at and to be honest pigeon shooting isnt my strongest point, we had a good few come to our pattern but mostly ferrels with some dropping out of sky like racers getting clocked in, we managed to pick up 23 ferrel and 10 woodys with around 5/6 hitting the field at back of us thats still up that we didnt find so not too bad of a afternoon, its the first time ive let my

  5. similar to views i can see every night if i wanted to, my next door neighbor feeds acouple, a fine looking vixen comes and then a poor looking one afterwards, there on time nearly every night they come, must cost the neighbour abit with what they put out for them, good job realy as i keep afew hens, dont mind them around but if they cross the line then

  7. abit similar to yours but years ago i was lamping a rabbit and it came running back towards us and for no reason my pal just decided to do a dive and try to catch rabbit with him missing it and then dog running straight into him, he nearly killed himself and dog, lol, the daft twat, ha

  11. A lot of years ago there was a white Pigeon among a large flock, near where I lived. Lots of people saw it (it did stick out like a sore thumb among the others) and It stayed around all winter then disappeared. Going by size, shape and how it flew, it certainly seemed to be a Woodie, and definitely wasn't a feral or Dove. aye and if they stick oot like a sore thumb they tend to become a target by the way this flew and the size and shape of it i would of said it was a woody and could well be one if others have been seen before, ile be like a twitcher now when im next there im all for
  12. good pics just out of interest has any one seen or even heard of a pure white woody before ? ive seen a white bird 3 times now, the first time i saw it i didnt take much notice of it as i thought it was a Ferrel pigeon and then i saw it with 2 normal woodies and it took of like a woody when spooked, i also spooked it of a woodies nest which i didnt know was there but again i didnt have chance to have a good look at it, sorry for ruining your post but its got my mind going now if it is a woody,
  13. looks ok that meal , i always thought about trying it but every time i shoot one and pick it up i always think of a long tail and its easyer to just toast some bread and warm some beans up
