Well i went to try a new bit of land the farmer let me onto ,he told me he was planting corn so it should be full of crows. Arrived bout 7 am and set up my camo net against a hedge.Set the gun up and put out a few crow deeks.i then enterd my hide. just as i sat down the cows as usual came over to investigate from the next filed. they crack me up ,they are like big friendly dogs. I got myself comfy by siiting on my gun bag ,gun poking out of net and then tried a few calls on my acme crow call.Brendon Lee eat your heart out,the crows came from all over flying overhead and making a hell of a

good post + pics again Festa and a good nights shooting. I hate shooting in strong wind aswell mate, will need to learn how much to adjust my aim for the strenght of wind. Have an sp for doing the smart thing ,by moving indoors.

Get that alarm set big man and get oot there!!! Thats when i do most of my hunting,I love seeing the country side in the morning and all the animals waking up.Good for the soul sir

Hi terrierone, iuse this lot www.ccc3.org.uk .They offer 12mnt + 6 month periods for 19 + 12 quid. I took the 6 month 1 out cos I didnt know if i would need it ,then when i got it i felt more confident approaching landowners,and I got my 1st permission soon after. will renew again.

Awright tony ,I had a tear in my eye and a tissue in my hand there.......for the wee piglet story. These trips sounds excellent. you defo got that across in crackin post and pics.You can tell the difference in your posts how frantic it is compared to say ,your cemetry permission. Great between the eye shot on the rat,its satisfying,even on a rat to get a perfect clean kill. Keep doin what your doin. I was meant to be coming down to hull on moday for a van audit but ,its been cancelled. Atb marti

Awright Chriso Practice makes perfect....or better. it makes it worth it when you get results like that I started taking bits of paper in my gun bag with a cross on it to check my zero .Just stick a wee bit of chewing gum on the back and attach it to something while you pace out your range.Its helped me learn.

nice one mate,it was like the rogues gallery!! Like the dog pics ,especially wee Hammy he's a wee belter,mine does the same.In fact mine starts going mental as soon as he see's me put my camo on,cos he knows i usually bring him somethin home.

Too right Matt,it makes a bad transaction a very good one, Torch has been tested,by the wife 2 mins ago,she shouted me into the room.I thought aye,aye ...only to find her shining my torch on her bump to see if the baby responded,it didnae half jump about,mind you so would I if thats how i got woke up. It was pretty cool though,canny wait for him or her to arrive!

Got me a new ,working lamp now.Give guy i bought it from his due. he sent it stright out to me. well happy wit torch,just need to learn how to use it for shooting...

Congrats on your crow mate, i've found out crows are smart on my permission.Nedd to keep changing tactics and had a few blanks when out trying to shoout them. Defo cover your face and hands though. Atb kot

Deffinately Robbed, How dare you live with yourself Robbing someone like that BARGAIN Okay I'll give you £355 including P&P Phantom thanks for all of your posts lads :-) looking for an adapter already own a pump but if its too much hard work i will buy a bottle hi shoota i recently bought a brand new 3 litre 300bar bottle supplioed with gauge,bleed vlv, airgun vlv and hose for 148 quid delivered next day. i was well chuffed,looked about everywhere but blackpool air rifles was the best, deal about. would defo recommend this lot. atb marti

cheers bill, i was well chuffed with some of my shots,it makes the misses easier to handle.!! was doubting my marksanship after being out on the moors last week in the howling wind,missed a fair few , just need to learn more about and practice shooting in strongish winds and maybe swap my Bushnell sportsman for a scope with milldots.I am hoping the milldots will make it easier to judge for distance and wind. Was called out to fix a boiler on a site,spoke to plumber a few times and we got round to talkin bout hunting.Well turns out he was pally with my neighbour and his brother and that he stays 5 min up the road from me ,also he has a few acres of land that he keeps horses on. The best bit was he said therte are plenty of rabbits on it and told me i could shoot there,i didn't even have to ask ( i was just about to though). Kept hearing people say they were OFFERED shooting permission but didn't think it would happen to me,so for those with no permission my tip is to let people know you shoot air

Awright tony I will defo be using a hide,am going to have a wonder down to the field before he plants ,to get some idea of the lay of the land.Maybe will try being organised for once and build a couple of hides before he starts planting. Atb marti
