    duck

Awright Fry,glad you put this thread up as I see a few ducks on my permissionand have wondered if it was legal, didn't know so didn't bother, They used to land in small flocks and would feed alongside the Jackdaws on the cows grubn.Only thing bout them is that when they see you and fly away they make a hell of a racket and it frightens all the birds for miles away. Also get lots of pheasants ,but also wondered about the legalaty of this. Will need to ask the farmer if he minds me takin the odd one, especially with christmas coming up. Atb Kot

  5. nice one steve,it really rips my knitting when you have to deal with areholes like them, get it right up em. If you are on any other forums be sure to bad mouth them on that too. glad you are sorted now.
  6. Result how did you find it ,ok? I got to the point where i've got the gun the way i want it,so don't let other folk just have a go incase the block it. i load it for em,seems a bit pedantic but i don't give a puck, Atb kot
  7. Hi 8 shot...I dont give anyone a shot of mine unless i load it.lol The 1st few weeks i did nuthin but jam mine. Once you've stripped it a few times it is a piece of piss.uncock it. Take scope off ,then scope rail. remove long silver spring (remembering what side goes in what hole). then rmove silencer ,moderator.remove the allen bolt from the fore end where the laser is housed. then gently twist inner barrel and you should find that mag will now drop out.(the mag is stuck because a pellet is half way through that and the barrell) Then remove barrell by twisting and pulling .Once you have bar
  8. Hi johnboy at least that rabbit made it worthwhile bud. I was looking into getting the logun lamp but was put off by the reviews it got. Also seemed to be plenty for sale ,that set alarm bells ringing. I got one of these from ebay after Phantom put a link up.CREE R2 LED 300Lumens Tactical Flashlight Charger Set They give off crackin light and for 24 quid including postage, canny whack it.It came to me with torch not working, but give the seller credit he sent a new one straight away with a wee pouch aswell. No problems since. They are reviewed in an airgun mag this month under a different nam
  9. cheers si,I'm just glad i didn't blank. It would have been a sore one,as i've not seen so many rabbits in the 1 place before. Was reading one of your posts last night bout the ultra for Tony.Very nice indeed . Saw the guy talking about it saying it was in the for sale section,I was jusst going to take a look ,when i saw you bought it.Looks like its going to a very thankful man. Tony sounded dumbstruck by your genorousity. Hope you's enjoy your new year. I'm intriuged by the hush hush project though, suppose we'll find out in good time. Atb Marti
  10. A wee Patterdale. if you look at my pic on the left hand side you see him jumping up at me cos he knows camo on means food for him ,either that or he just likes a good sniff of them to see where i've been. Couldn't take him with me ,cos he wouldnt wait till the rabbit was shot,he'd just go like a bat out of hell after it...
  11. Nice big bunny there mate. You brave man shooting in the cemy at night, What changes have you made to your gun that makes it fit so good ? Also ,where did you get your filter ,and is it for the surefire lamp? Ditto what fry says ,need to improve my standing shots, but quite happy using what support i can ,or taking a shot when crouched or prone.Think a lighter gun than the S16 would also help.I remember from shooting the s200 at the gun club just how light as a feather it is.
  12. Nah mate went oot masel,no bogey men about only horses ,which i'm not too keen on. I'd be scared if i was going out in EK in the dark l o l If i didn't have a gun ,don't know if i could have went out there but.As i said ,surrounded by houses and quite moonlit the night so wasn't too pitch black really. Keep lampin Sir Marti
  13. Enjoy ,puckin loved it man.See what you mean bout the wee tracer, cool.Shot at 3 ,should defo have got 2,but kept tryin.then the heavens opened so lay down with a tree overhead for shelter.Put my head down to get comfy, could have fell asleep. l o l. Glad I didnt though as when i looked up and flicked the light on while looking through my scope i nearly s hat meself as i thought there was a ten foot bunny on the loose. Two rabbits hopped right by me but one of them filled my scope on 12 x mag, whoa big bonce bunny.Composed myself and picked one of them to go for.Put my lamp on it and it froze, pull
  14. As title suggests,I'm going out to test my new gun lamp on a new bit of land that is hoachin with rabbits. never lamped before so really lookin forward to tryin it and also gettin me some tasty rabbits for me and the dog.Not had a shot at the cotton tails for a good while now, most of my shooting has been of the feathered variety recently. Wish me luck, will let you's know how i get on when i get back. Atb kot
  15. Had a walk up to my perrmission this afternoon with the wife and dog to see if farmer has planted in his field yet. After walking towards the corner where i set up my hide last week and got some magpies.I then proceeded to disturb about 50 woodpigeons from the (in range ) trees . Never seen so many in the one place, hope they are still there tomorrow morning . The field was full of woodies ,crows , jackdaws and seagulls ,so I gues that answers the question ,whether the seed has been put down. On the way back to the car a couple of cows came over for a look at us then started to sniff my wee
  16. haven't tried a Falcon, but I have an s16 shrouded barrell and i love it.good for huntin, maybe not for standing about shooting targets maybe a bit heavy. But out in the field when you only raise it 20 times or so its great, when walking about i will use the sling.Especially likin my gun in this crappy weather, give it a quick dry when finished a session and its good as new. Just tryin out some aa fields and the gun loves em.
  17. Good write up bud,i liked reading that,Not a bad result for 1st time lamping, I canny wait to tryt it,got a gun lamp last week ,just need to wait till i get a min to go out. How did you find range finding in the dark? Atb marti
  18. Souns good that,do you stay under the one tree or move about from tree to tree?
  19. Looks like a good time was had by all, enough guns with you to start a small war. I like the fact in amongst the cider, burgers, beer and squirrels you packed some bananas,....mmmm did your wife sneak them in there?
  20. hi Shay That sounds like a great bit of land to shoot over, variety makes things interesting. The landowner sounds top class also. Good luck with clearing it ,here's hoping you keep smiling like in that last pic, happy as a pig in shike!!
  21. Haha ,dont let the wife see that ,or you won't get your new gun. Lonely cows need lovin too steve
  22. Glad to hear your hft has helped your shooting skills mate. Sounded like you had a excellent shot on the young rabbit follwed by a successful stalk, good session ,I'd be well pleased with that.
  23. Think it might have been a rare squirty eye poison friut. either that or it looks like it could be juniper berries
  24. Crackin shots there mate afte being patient and waiting for the oppurtunity to get in range. I have found the squirrels i've shot some times clamp their big back claws onto the tree and swing in the wind before falling to earth, Liked that squirrel link you put up,learned a bit about squirrels behaviour,so far only took the chance of a shot when i've seen one.Think i might have seen dreys in some of the treesa, will need tp look closer next time. Atb kot
