Thanks for the answers. I haven't done it yet but the girlfriends son asked me would I shatter my finger if I hit it seeing as how they're powerful enough to kill a rabbit. Made me think. Cant see myself stopping yet ( to much fun ). In fact hopping to buy a new one at The Welsh Game Fair. Going on youtube now for aiming tips . Ta all.

Hello all, imagination going into overdrive. Worried now about hitting my fingers or thumb with ammo. Could this happen as its making my aiming well off ?

Hello all, found a catapult at the boot fair and bought some theraband gold. Watched things on you tube and read stuff on here but stil no idea which way the tapered bands I cut go. No- one mentions this or why. Apologies if it's obvious and I'm a bit slow. Cheers Andy

Hi all, just watched a video on the talpirid mole trap( not getting one) and the bloke went out the day before and used his dibber on several runs. The next day he comes back and finds used runs by the mole having filled in his holes with earth. Does anybody do this ? Or is it a waste of petrol as it is an extra visit ? Ta all.

Thank you Rob

Sorry if stupid question, but what is a side shooter ? Do you hold the catapult out and then twist the wrist so the y of the catapult is more horizontal ? Ta .

Is it illegal to call birds to shoot them then? I thought you could do that. Dont you see calls on mail order sites. Or is that a thing of the past and I never noticed.

How do you dispatch them without them all getting out? Infact how do you manage to grab them as they must go bonkers as you reach in ? Cheers -
I saw a kill in my back garden by the same type of bird as in the pick on the ground with it's own kill. Can anybody tell me what it is please as I dont know much about birds.

Thanks for the advice boys, given me plenty to think on. Self employed doing windows at the moment so I think I could start up part time to start with and see how it goes. Any thoughts on getting around the fields, 4 x 4 or a quad, as at the moment as I only do it to get permission I tend to walk . Cheers.

Hi Ratattack Sorry, but have to just reply having seen your thoughts - you can make a living out of catching moles - I do. I'm a British Traditional Mole Catcher using only traps. I have golf courses, country estates and private individuals within my portfolio. I price normally by each mole caught and my price structure varies dependant on distance, ranging from 10 -30 miles. With larger clients like estates it is done on a contractual basis - where a price is agreed at the beginning of any one period - normally a year and payment is made monthly. So I say to the gent in South Wales (
