  1. I think the day's of them big old dslr's & super heavy lenses are about over bud. I must have watched at least a thousand videos online regarding mirrorless camera's albeit not the Fujifilm so I will have to check them out thanks to you but I've not read or heard of one single person who regrets switching to mirrorless from dslr & obviously you doing what you do saying the same just say's it all to me. I'd take your word in a heartbeat over a million reviews online. I'm gonna check stuff out & jump onboard with everyone else,it just makes sense, especially the way I am now regardin
  2. Good to hear that matey, I know you put them through their paces & only the decent one's earn their pan of scran at the days end,I know you've had a bit of fun with a few mongrels carrying that old blood matey in fact the pups out of Jacob's even have distance related blood to those two you've posted pics of as Troys grandmother Breeze was out of a bitch out of Dons grandfather Bulpa & a Minshaw bitch I had called Jess ..hope your keeping well buddy.
  3. Sun's shining here today... finally!! Just finished my own dog's,that's them walked & fed,got two of my lads dog's to sort next which will no doubt take me a while yet but then I'm off out for the day..hope today is a good one for you all whatever it is your on with, enjoy the sunshine if you have it too ..watch how ya's all go. Couple of pics of old Don,he is the last dog of mine to carry the blood of the Minshaw dog's I first owned back in the mid 1980's so touching on 40 year's ago now, great dog's,great memories,I owe them all so much & thank them all for the work they done fo
  4. At 5 month's old & again at 11 year's old, when out & about he has always been one for just taking a seat & surveying the area around him, scanning for the slightest movement, his daughter Rose is exactly the same, even when thing's are 'busy' they will still find the time to sit, weigh up the situation before making their next move..I often call them 'thick, backward & plenty more expletives' but i guess they are far more intelligent than I & know more about the game than i do.
  5. Boots as a pup, here he is at 4 month's & 12 day's old on the first pic then again another 12 day's older on the second pic.. looking back he was never a problem rearing on,he self entered to all & everything, very easy dog to have around.
  6. Well,we've had several soakings this day, hopefully tomorrow will be a little better in regards to the weather. Here's the full squadron this evening on our wanders..excuse the coats on my lot they are all currently moulting & look as rough as badgers arses, they will be looking better in a week or two all being well. 'Boots,Bear,Don & Rose's here with my Cocker Spaniel Suzie,my Mrs pup Kali & last but not least her Patterdale Terrier Asher on the following post..
  7. Another wet, miserable day here in these parts, had two drenchings this morning with the dogs, hope things are better wherever you guy's are..this is without a doubt the poorest spring & now summer that I've ever lived through, today the temperature here is 10c,which for mid June is equivalent to a mid winter's day. Global warming my fecking a**e!!! Anyways here's one from waaaaaay back..
  8. Absolutely superb matey, awesome that is!
  9. I recently dug out my first ever dslr camera,it dates back from 2005,you can pick these up on eBay nowadays for about £50 max with a lens or two included. I'm surprised the battery held some charge but to be honest I've used the camera for a number of days now & it's still going strong on that initial charge. These are a few I've taken with it the past few day's,nowadays everyone is onto the mirrorless camera's & before those dslrs with a CMOS sensor, this old Olympus has a Kodak CCD sensor in it which comes from the earlier film camera's. Personally I like the colours etc that come str
  10. Few pics from this afternoon, was our second wander of the day,a little earlier than the norm as it's forecast heavy rain here this afternoon & as I'm typing this I can see the rain on the window so thankfully we've just avoided a soaking which I'm personally very thankful for as I'm currently fecking crippled with both my back & hip,I've been unable to sleep for day's now & our wanders recently have been super slow & not too far either. I'm on a myriad of painkillers already but they ain't touching the pain, hopefully things will settle down again soon & trying to avoid a so
  11. Hope this week is being good to everyone, nothing much happening here, just the usual daily routine messing on with the dog's. The full crew here are currently moulting,I'm sick of grooming the mangy fecking thing's,they look embarrassing but there's not much you can do about it really..the sun is shining here today although we are forecast heavy rain tomorrow & again on Friday so we will make the best of today, have a tip top day folk's,few pics from yesterday on a couple of my wanders .. keep on keeping on folk's
  12. Many times,he got his arse whooped more time's than I care to remember matey
  13. I took these a couple of days ago with the Sigma 100-400mm,first impressions are positive anyway bud. I can't see much wrong with them anyway,I have had numerous Sigma lenses over the year's but none of their most recent from their Contemporary/Art or Sport selection until this one, like I said on a previous post to you they have really stepped up their game & their lenses are equal if not better than many of the so called bigger names ie: Canon,Nikon & Sony..good shout by you matey, hopefully anyone looking for an upgrade & or just starting out might be able to save themselves a few
  14. It's tough going for all & everything up on the high ground..'The Beast' there looking down on owld heading on up..
  15. I've recently as in the last fortnight just bought a Sigma lens for a Canon camera bud,I watched numerous videos on YouTube regarding the lens & it seems to be a cracking lens, the one in question is the 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG,not the best lens in low light conditions but a F2.8 400mm lens which is good for low light will cost you about £15k lol. I purchased this one off the auction site in as good as new condition for £440 so I'll see how it goes,I also bought a 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 L series lens which is one of Canon's professional lenses being the L series but the newer mark 2 version of this
  16. Few pics of my Mrs pup yesterday afternoon..10 months old
  17. He was handy enough on them bud or at least I thought so anyway. For being 'just' a Saluki lurcher he showed me thing's that no other lurcher I've ever owned could or would. Fantastic memories that will be forever etched into my mind, they will only die when I do. He wasn't the best at anything but he was a fair dog at pretty much everything from ferreting upto teeth & EVERYTHING in between,I lamped him scarcely throughout his working life but he still caught plenty in the hours of darkness. I took him across seas via ferry & from Oxfordshire down south to John O'Groats in the north of
  18. Boat leaving the harbour this morning..
  19. Yeah,I love taking a few pics Phil..wish I could afford some better gear really but all that new camera gear both body & lenses are way out of my price range, those mirrorless camera's & body's especially the Olympus OEM's are perfect for us lot, both body & lenses are weather sealed & the combined weight of them even with a longer focal length then what my dslr setup's are weigh less than than either one of my dslr cameras alone & or even one of my telephoto lenses. The weight saving & size of a set-up like that would be unreal, had I looked after my gear better I could o
