Boots, having a stretch on the beach yesterday morning

She's a smart looking animal bud but it's the thickest, dumbest dog I've ever laid eyes on in 58 year's.. truthfully if it was with me I'd of killed it long ago,my Mrs has more patience than me of that there can be no doubt, one thing I will not put up with is thick, backward dog's,I don't expect them to be crufts obedience champions but I expect them to listen to me & do the simplest of tasks, this thing is a law until itself, like I said if I owned it I'm afraid it would be under the sod. Hopefully once it starts work it comes on,if not well my Mrs is in for 15 year's of torture haha

Couple of pics of my Mrs pup yesterday afternoon..like mid winter here again today,we've had rain for the past 3 day's now & both yesterday & again today we have winds over 40mph,currently 9C here so not exactly summer temperatures, think we've had 3 days of sunshine this year,no doubt they will be saying we've had the warmest summer on record ..one thing's for certain the weather forecast lot seem to think the north is Birmingham as we just get overlooked in regards to weather forecasts & or weather statistics..wellies & waterproof gear again this morning, hopefully July wil

I'm not sure bud? It was one he arranged and ran as far as what my mate said, that's irrelevant to me. A grown man has no right to storm right across the show ring when full & directly go to a 9 year old child a girl at that & tell her to get out of the ring because they have a bit of chew with an adult family member. The video is circulating online Rich & I'm sure if you know anyone with Facebook who bothers with dog's/shows then they will be able to show you it. Honestly it's disgusting behaviour from an adult towards a child,I can't believe someone never just walked upto him &

Just yesterday a lifelong friend of mine called in for a brew & a bit of craic. I don't use shitebook so am unaware of what happens on there unless someone tells me & my friend showed me a video that appalled me. A grown man at a dog show bullying a little 9 year old girl. Now I don't know the full craic but apparently this Gordon Bottomley has had a bit of chew with this child's mother but that in no way means he should be walking up & throwing a child out of the ring with her little whippet, she is 9 year's old & totally innocent. What pisses me off no one confronted this idio

Fantastic reading, fantastic Buck too..I'm not a shooting man but regardless of that I tip my hat to you. These are the types of posts I like to see & I appreciate the time you've taken to intricately describe the hunt. Fantastic, one of the best posts I've ever read on the forum. All the best Andy

Hey up Ray,sounds like your currently going through a tough time matey, very sorry to hear about your wife & now the issue that has arose with Buck, keep on keeping on Ray,enjoy time with family buddy & on a side note Ray old Don of mine has a cancerous lump on his chest,it first surfaced when he was around 10 year's old, although the tumour has recently grown somewhat he's still here & he was 15 gone March. Buck is a tough old dog too & I'd not be surprised if he's still plodding on in a few year's time too..look after thyself & remember nothing lasts forever, not even bad luc

Just returned from a few day's away on the Isle of Mull which is part of the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland, absolutely stunning place,so quiet it was unbelievable. The island only has a population of around 3000,the ferry from Oban to Craignure only takes around 50 minutes & for 2 adults,a dog plus our old motorhome the return cost was £49 all in,if you travel as a foot passenger it's £4.75 each way,so cheap as chips. I'd advise anyone & everyone to visit the island, there are at least 35 pairs of White Tailed Eagle's that reside permanently there along with slightly mor

Great posts guy's,just having a few days away on the Isle of Mull at the minute in our old motorhome,be back home tomorrow hopefully. How about the guy heading to work on the paddle board up at Oban when waiting to board the early morning ferry on the second pic,he must of worked across the other side of the harbour somewhere.

Yeah I agree bud the dogs just have to see them as part of the landscape & just totally ignore them, obviously where you are & I am here sheep are very numerous & a dog that isn't 100% trustworthy around them is no good, mine as pups are in with them from the very first day they go outside the garden fence.

It's my son's dog matey & he's currently in a cell for being a naughty boy,I'm looking after his dog's until he's back home, the dog had seen me numerous times but always in the company of my lad, hopefully it doesn't remember him & he has to go through what I have to get her to like him again

Lovely dog that is,I have one here that keeps a look out over thing's,protective is a word I would use extremely strongly to describe her. She's bred from one of the very best lines there is out there, she is what she is,she's not been hunting & probably never will,I wouldn't trust her around other dog's especially when things were 'busy' & the dog's had something. Honestly I feed her every day yet it took her 10 month's to come to me,I couldn't get her locked in her kennel when I needed to nor get a lead on her, I even had 3 lump hammer's strategically positioned should she ever overst

Big bad Boots, shit scared of a wooly

Brilliant stuff that bud, really enjoyed reading that. Yeah I can well remember the day's of film with the 24 & 36's & often having not loaded the film into the camera correctly & letting light in perhaps getting one or two pics at best out of a 48 exposure roll of film! How times have changed eh,jeez I often hold the shutter down on these cameras of mine for a couple or three seconds & have over 40 images, these new mirrorless camera's could fill the equivalent of a roll of film faster than you could blink! Still I love the look of the older film images, they just have character

I think the day's of them big old dslr's & super heavy lenses are about over bud. I must have watched at least a thousand videos online regarding mirrorless camera's albeit not the Fujifilm so I will have to check them out thanks to you but I've not read or heard of one single person who regrets switching to mirrorless from dslr & obviously you doing what you do saying the same just say's it all to me. I'd take your word in a heartbeat over a million reviews online. I'm gonna check stuff out & jump onboard with everyone else,it just makes sense, especially the way I am now regardin

Good to hear that matey, I know you put them through their paces & only the decent one's earn their pan of scran at the days end,I know you've had a bit of fun with a few mongrels carrying that old blood matey in fact the pups out of Jacob's even have distance related blood to those two you've posted pics of as Troys grandmother Breeze was out of a bitch out of Dons grandfather Bulpa & a Minshaw bitch I had called Jess ..hope your keeping well buddy.

Sun's shining here today... finally!! Just finished my own dog's,that's them walked & fed,got two of my lads dog's to sort next which will no doubt take me a while yet but then I'm off out for the day..hope today is a good one for you all whatever it is your on with, enjoy the sunshine if you have it too ..watch how ya's all go. Couple of pics of old Don,he is the last dog of mine to carry the blood of the Minshaw dog's I first owned back in the mid 1980's so touching on 40 year's ago now, great dog's,great memories,I owe them all so much & thank them all for the work they done fo

At 5 month's old & again at 11 year's old, when out & about he has always been one for just taking a seat & surveying the area around him, scanning for the slightest movement, his daughter Rose is exactly the same, even when thing's are 'busy' they will still find the time to sit, weigh up the situation before making their next move..I often call them 'thick, backward & plenty more expletives' but i guess they are far more intelligent than I & know more about the game than i do.

Boots as a pup, here he is at 4 month's & 12 day's old on the first pic then again another 12 day's older on the second pic.. looking back he was never a problem rearing on,he self entered to all & everything, very easy dog to have around.
